to participate in the annual Tommy Martin Chair
of Insurance Invitational Scramble Golf
Tournament. The tournament has a title sponsor
again this year:

contribution to the financial success of the
tournament.
The Martin Chair of Insurance is an endowed
professorial position within the Department of
Economics and Finance at MTSU. Courses are
taught by Chairholder Kenneth W. Hollman,
Ph.D., CLU, ChFC, CIC, CEBS, CPCU. Dr.
Hollman serves as a contact person for insurance
students and as a resource person for those in the
insurance industry. Dr. Emily Zietz, Ph.D.,
CPCU, also teaches insurance courses and works
closely with students and the insurance industry.
Dr. Zietz is acting chairholder while Dr. Hollman
is on leave in the Spring semester of 2015.
The purpose of this tournament is to help
raise funds for the students in the Chair of
Insurance and to promote interest in the
insurance program.

The sole purpose of this annual tournament is to raise
money to fund scholarships for students enrolled in the
insurance program at MTSU. Students are selected on
the basis of scholastic achievement, leadership potential
and dedication to the insurance business.

Tournament Schedule
Drinks will be available throughout the afternoon
from beverage carts on the course.
4:30–5:30 pm Meal, Awards Presentation
and Prize Selection
10:30 am–5:30 pm–Silent Auction
Items such as golf balls, clubs, bags, clothing, & gift
certificates will be available for bidding in a silent
auction.
The cost is tax deductible except for the cost of
greens fee, cart, lunch, and social hour. The fair
market value of these benefits is $50.
Hole Sponsorships are available for $150.
Sponsors receive course signage and the cost is
tax deductible.

Noon–Shotgun Start (rain or shine)
The tournament is a best ball scramble with an
entry fee of $150 per person or $900 per sixsome,
or $1,050 for a sixsome plus a hole sponsorship.
Entry fee includes lunch, cart, greens fee, social
hour, and prizes. Mulligans and red tees are also
available. Senior tees will be used.

Soft spikes: Tournament officials will enforce the
course rule that golfers may only wear shoes with soft
spikes or tennis shoes. No exceptions.
