 Introduction page to www.nafjobs.org • Step 1 : o Applicant will select “Login/register” located under the drop box seventh option across located under the drop down box o You will then be directed to another page Step 2: Login or Register to apply screen • The new user will need to select “Click here to register” • Another screen will appear for the next step •
Step 3: Register to apply screen The applicant will need to complete the following: o Create a User name o Create a Password (Your password must be at least 9 characters long with at least one special character) o Provide an email address o Create a security question and provide the answer •
Once the above items are completed you will need to click on the create user button to proceed to the next screen. ** Should you need further instructions/details please click on the blue circle with the question mark located in the upper right. ***NOTE: Passwords will expire every 60 days. To avoid your password expiring, change your password within 60
days. The Change Password function is found in MY PROFILE under the Login Account tab. ***
After you have registered your login information you should receive a confirmation page to let you know your account has been successfully created. Click on the continue button to proceed to the next page to fill in your personal information Step 4: My Profile/My Personal Information You will need to complete all required fills that apply to you. Once you have completed this section you will need to save your information. • Please note: if you don’t complete fields required you will notice the missing field will highlight in red and you will not be able to save changes and move on to the next section. • Once you have completed your information click on the save changes button (button left corner) so you can move on to the next section. • Should you need detail information please refer to the blue circle with the question mark located in upper right hand of the screen Step 5: My Profile/My background Information • You need to answer the following questions with a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ response and the items that you select yes to, you will need to provide detail information as the reason. Each section will elaborate on the specific details needed depending on the question being asked. • Once you have completed this section you will need to save changes and proceed to the next section of the application. Step 6: My profile/My current NAF Position • For current NAF employees (Please make sure you check the Current NAF Employee box) and complete all required information that pertains to your position and the position in which you are applying for. • Save your changes and move on the next screen •

Step 7: My Profile/Work experience In order for you to add your work experience to this section you will need to click on the “add work experience” and complete all items that apply If you need additional information or have questions please click on the blue circle with the question mark. No work experience • If you don’t have any work experience to add to this section you will need to select “none” and save your changes and proceed to the next section Step 8: My profile/My Military Service • If you have Military service to input into the section you will need to click on the “add military service” button and complete all required fields. • If you don’t have any Military Service to add please click on the none button and proceed to the next step •

Step 9: My Profile/ Education If you have Education to input into the section you will need to click on the “add education” button and complete all required fields. If this section doesn’t apply to you click on “none” and save changes to proceed to the next page Step 10: My Profile/My driving information • You will need to complete this section by answering the following questions with a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ response and provide details for those question you answered with ‘yes’. • Save your changes and proceed to the next page Step 11: My Profile/My Work with children • You will need to complete this section by answering the following questions with a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ response and provide details to those question you answered with ‘yes’ • Save your changes and proceed to the next page Step 12: My profile/resume and documents • This section allows you to upload your resume, training certifications, PCS orders, DD214 (member 4 copy), etc. to verify and confirm the information in which you have provided. • If you don’t have any information to provide please make sure to click on the “none” button Once you have completed all of the profile information you can now start browsing and looking for open positions to apply for. • You will need to click the “open positions” link located at the top of the page to view open positions •

You will be able to view open positions Air Force wide. You have the ability to search for available positions by sorting by Number, Keyword, Base and other identifiers through the available check boxes above. Once you found a position that you would like to apply for you can either view position description and qualifications or apply for it by selecting your preference on the right side of the screen in blue When you click the apply options for a position you will see another screen appear that gives you the choice to select an employment preference (screen shot on next page) ** Please note*** • If you select any of the preferences you will need to upload all required documents before you will be considered for preference eligible. o Military Spouse Preference—will need to submit a copy of PCS orders • Family member Preference (for overseas use only) – will need to submit a copy of orders • Off duty Military – will need to complete form 3902 and receive approval from your commander • Veteran’s preference—will need to submit copy of DD214, member 4 copy Please refer to the next page to see the information you will need to complete when you submit your required forms. •

You will upload your required documents and save your changes. Click on “open positions” and search the position again and click on the apply button and select your appropriate preference. You should receive a confirmation page to let you know that your application was accepted and to let you know how long an application stays on file You can review a submitted application anytime by clicking on “my profile” and then click on the “my applications” tab to do the following: • To review applications you’ve applied for • To withdraw an application • To view the job details in which you applied for
