Make a Difference! Choose Joy!
We are so very excited to end our school year
with our Choose Joy campaign, which will run
through June! All of our students and staff
received a Choose Joy bracelet this week and
we have sent home tags for you to fill our
when you see your child choosing joy!
We all have days where things don’t go as
planned or something bad happens, but when
we choose to “Choose Joy” we can turn things
around and change the outcome of our day!
This is a fun way for us to end a school year
that has been filled with love and kindness!

PTO News and Events…
Spring Dance
Friday May 1st, 6 - 8:30pm at NSMS
Open to students from 4K to 5th grade, the Spring Dance is a ton of fun for the kids and
the biggest PTO event of the year. Dancing, games, concessions, face painting and more!
$2 admission per person ($10 max per family). This year, we will be raffling themed
baskets created by each grade/charter school. Donations to these raffle baskets is
appreciated - if each student sent in a dollar or two, we could create some really great

TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK
May 4th-8th
This is what the week will look like at Hartland North/HFALA:
Monday - Students are asked to bring in a flower for their teacher... homemade craft one,
drawn picture or real flower. We will also have treats in the lounge (sign up to donate
at http://vols.pt/Kdvps5).
Tuesday - Students are asked to bring in a note, card, or drawing. (Making multiple ones
would be great... don't forget all of the people we have to thank - Office, Cafeteria,
Librarians, etc.). We will also have treats in the lounge (sign up to donate
at http://vols.pt/Kdvps5).
Wednesday – Taco Bar for staff in the teachers lounge. Sign up to donate

Thursday - Treats in the lounge (sign up to donate at http://vols.pt/Kdvps5).
Friday – Students are asked to bring in a school supply for their teacher (sharpened
pencils, dry erase markers, glue sticks, etc.)
