Magic Show
June 25, 3:00 PM
The library would like to
invite you to a special
performance by magician Jim Mitchell. “The
Hero in You!” is a funfilled, high-energy magic
show that highlights heroes in literature, local
heroes, and even
teaches you how to be
a hero yourself! Filled with jokes and fun, the show
uses magic and audience participation to show that no
matter how old or young, you too can be a true hero.
Come to the library and learn how to discover the hero
in you!
American Barn
Stories
May 6, 7:00 PM
Photojournalist Tom Laughlin
will present gorgeous slides of
American barns and will share
descriptions of his photographic
gear and techniques.
Brown Bag Story Lunches
Fridays, June 19, 26, 11:30-Noon
Bring a lunch and enjoy listening to a story! All ages are
welcome! Ages 6 and under need a parent. Will be
held outdoors if weather permits.
Cupcake Wars!
June 29, 3:00 PM
Teens age 12 and up can compete to make the best
ever cupcake! Based on the hit Food Network
show, the Hartland Public Library’s Cupcake Wars
will pit teams against
one another to decorate the most outrageous, delicious, and
beautiful cupcakes!
Peer judging and our
panel of esteemed
judges (who have
eaten many cupcakes
in their time at the library) will determine the winners. Game on!

library and then take them home to
enjoy! Ms. Sue and Ms. Nancy will
lead Make-It & Take-It. There will be
a different craft project each week.

Super Saturday Story Hour

Join us on the first and third Saturdays of
each month for preschool story hour with the
Hartland Lakeside School District and library
staff! Story times are for children between 3
and 5 years old. Registration in advance is
appreciated, but drop ins are always welcome!
Super Saturday Story Hour will include a story
as well as songs and crafts!
Kids’ Superhero Movies - Mondays 2:00 PM

Preserving Family Stories
May 19, June 16, 6:30 – 8:00 PM
Do you wish you knew more about your parents’ or grandparents’ lives? Will your
grandchildren someday wonder what you were like when you were their age? If your
answer is “yes” then you should be meeting monthly with this group who are writing
family stories so they will be accessible years into the future. Wonderful writing skills
are not the point; we write to preserve the essence of our lives and those of our families. Join us!
Hartland History
Our beautiful Hartland History room was donated to the library by the Hartland
Historical Society and is available for research or quiet study at any time. Contact
