NEW JERSEY ATHLETIC CONFERENCE WOMEN’S LACROSSE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK WEEK ENDING 4/19/15 OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK BECCA WOOD • Rowan University Senior • Attack • Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East Wood earns NJAC Offensive Player of the Week honors after leading Rowan to a pair of NJAC victories this week. She opened up the week by recording five goals, one assist, while adding four draw controls and four ground balls during a 10-4 NJAC victory over Stockton. She then registered seven goals and two assists during a 24-7 NJAC victory over Ramapo. Wood currently ranks third in the NJAC in goals per game (3.83). DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK ELIZABETH MORRISON • The College of New Jersey Freshman • Defender • Stonington, CT/Stonington Morrison becomes the third different Lion to earn NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after leading TCNJ in draw controls, ground balls, and caused turnovers this week. The three-time NJAC Rookie of the Week selection opened up the week by recording four draw controls, securing five ground balls, and causing three turnovers during a 15-8 defeat to No. 1 Trinity. She wrapped up the week by registering five draw controls, four ground balls, and one caused turnover during a 13-7 victory over Montclair State. Morrison currently leads the NJAC in ground balls per game (3.21). ROOKIE OF THE WEEK ELIZA CLARK • Kean University Freshman • Attack • Kingsville, MD/Mercy Clark earns NJAC Rookie of the Week honors after helping the Cougars to a 2-0 week of play. She opened the week by recording two goals, two assists, and added one draw control, three ground balls, and one caused turnover during a 15-4 road victory over Old Westbury. She wrapped up the week by netting two goals, and adding one assist, five draw controls, seven ground balls, and five caused turnovers during a 19-9 NJAC victory over Rutgers-Camden. Clark currently ranks fifth in the NJAC in ground balls per game (2.64).
