Issue 5, 2015 (Published Fortnightly) Newsletter Hi there whanau! Sunday Services: This Sunday, March 15: We are right in the middle of our journey of lent. From the start we have said our heart for the season is about making room for God and making room for others. Donald offered a big challenge to us last Sunday, asking "who do you not associate with?" Making room for others isn't just about making more time for those you love, but for those who you don't naturally connect with too. That's a massive challenge but one that we, as the people of God, are tasked with. While it is hard, there is something of the beauty of God that shines when barriers are overcome and unity appears in the midst of division. 10am—Northcity Worship; Andy Dickson speaking— ”Blind” Highway Worship service 6pm—Northcity Extended Worship and response This Sunday we will spend more time in John's Gospel looking at Jesus' ministry as we walk slowly towards Easter. May he open our eyes to see more of the life he has for us as we journey together as whanau. Next Sunday, March 22 10am—Northcity Worship, Missions interviews, Barb Blessings, Andy Watson speaking— John 12—the Anointing at Bethany 4:30pm—Highway Wesley Hall, corner of Fuller and Peraki Streets, Kaiapoi 6pm—Northcity No Service P.S. Donald and Janice left on Monday for their trip to Israel with World Vision. We had this quick email from them yesterday afternoon— Hope all well with you all, we stopped over in Korea, just had breakfast then quick walk outside, it's minus 4 degrees and all water fountains are frozen! Leave for Israel shortly. Please continue to pray for their safety and the success of their trip as they journey to and through this region in conflict. God heard his prayer and one year later 24 people sailed for China. 150 years later God has widened the focus to South East Asians, where ever they are. We have much to be thankful for. Come and join us as we celebrate 150 years of God’s faithfulness and bring along anyone you know might be interested. Please feel free to circulate this invitation to your family and friends.
