Job Description:
As a Software Designer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation and test of
various software modules.
You will also participate in system integration with 3rd party BSC and MSC vendors, as well as in
the development of a regression test-bed.
As you become more familiar with the product, you will be asked to mentor other engineers,
provide advice and make recommendations, contribute to the sales and marketing activities and
occasionally participate in discussions with customers.

Participate in software design and test activities to insure product performance,
competitiveness, and compliance (GSM BTS L1/L2/L3, BSC, VOIP)
Lead system integration and test activities (BSC, MSC, GGSN, VOIP GW)
Participate in the definition of the field support features (OAMP, SNMP, NMS)
Work with the QA team in defining compliance and regression test strategies
Support the Project Management Office (PMO) in planning, estimating and tracking R&D
activities
Support pre- and post-sale activities, interfacing with customers and partners.
Mandatory Skills and Experience:

Bachelor degree in computer science or engineering
Minimum of 5 years of experience in embedded software development (C/C++)
Minimum of 2 years of experience with GSM cellular network
o BTS Layer 2/3, BSC Abis Interface, MSC A interface
Fluency with scripting language (Python, Perl, Shell)
Working experience with lab equipment
Strong documentation and communication skills
Preferred Skills and Experience:

Experience with SNMP and Network Management System (NMS)
Experience with VOIP systems
Familiarity with SQL language
Familiarity with LTE
Experience with Git.
The individual must be autonomous and capable to operate with limited guidance. Knowledge
of French would be considered an asset.

Pour combler ce poste, nous recherchons une personne dynamique et motivée qui détient les
qualités suivantes :
• Baccalauréat en informatique ou en génie informatique/électrique;
• Expérience de 5 ans en développement de logiciel embarqué (C/C++);
• Expérience de 2 ans avec GSM Networks :
o BTS Layer 2/3, BSC Abis Interface, MSC A interface;
• Familiarité avec les langages « script » tel que Python, Perl, Shell
• Expérience avec les équipements de laboratoire;
• Excellentes habilités en communication et documentation technique.
Le candidat idéal doit aussi :
• avoir de l’expérience avec SNMP et Network Management System (NMS);
• avoir de l’expérience avec l’architecture VOIP ;
• avoir de l’expérience avec SQL / SQLite;
• Connaître les normes de communication LTE;
• Être familier avec Git.
La personne recherchée est débrouillarde et possède une excellente affinité pour le travail
d’équipe. Elle a aussi de bonnes capacités analytiques et d’adaptation et elle est bilingue
(français et anglais).
