Kennedy Creek Fun Ride May 16, 2015 Hosted by Oakland Bay & Capitol Riders chapters of the Back Country Horsemen of Washington Donation of $15.00 includes: Lunch, Ride, Prize Ticket Geocache Treasure Hunt Additional Prize Tickets are $5.00 Riders out 9:00 to 11:00 Bring your GPS to find multiple Geocaches hidden along the trail. The GPS coordinates will be posted on the chapters web sites and Facebook pages one week in advance to allow you time to get them into your GPS unit. This year Oakland Bay and Capitol Riders have joined forces to host the 14th Annual Kennedy Creek Fun Ride. The valley trails are back in plus over four new miles of trail and a shortcut to the ridge trails have been added so you can enjoy all the views. The trails offer some spectacular views of the Olympics, Mount Rainier, and Puget Sound to name a few. You can make the ride as long or as short as you choose. (5 to 15 miles) If you choose the long ride please come early to get a good start. Geocaches will be on the long ride. We strongly recommend your animals have shoes or bring boots, and that your animals are in good condition to ride the long ride. Located just 10.2 miles off I-5 towards Shelton with easy on-off access. From I-5: Merge onto US Hwy 101 via I-5 exit # 104 Aberdeen/Port Angeles. Follow Hwy 101 towards Shelton. Just before mile marker 357 turn left onto Old Olympic Highway and follow signs. From Shelton and McCleary: Turn onto US Hwy 101 heading towards Olympia and at mile marker 356 turn right onto Old Olympic Highway and follow signs. Highway 101 will be marked well in advance! Camping is available The gate closes in the evening so please RSVP if arriving late. Spend Friday night and join us for a potluck. Stay Saturday night and ride on Sunday. Animals must be high-lined or tied to trailers. Dogs must be on leash!!!
