Price Dr. Price was Board of Governors Distinguished Service Professor of History and Founding Director of the Institute on Ethnicity, Culture, and the Modern Experience at Rutgers-Newark. commemorative Poem and Reading In honor of the late Dr. Price Dr. Cheryl clarke is an award winning poet and author of four books of poetry: Narratives: Poems In The Tradition Of Black Women (1982), Living As A Lesbian (1986), Humid Pitch (1989), and Experimental Love (1993).
