William Marrion Branham: The Javelina Hunt Many message ministers and even the headquarters of the Branham denomination try to discredit the fact that William Branham was not in Arizona during the time that the “Mystery Cloud” appeared over the northern part of Arizona. In a 2012 publication by Voice of God Recordings, the publisher even gambled on the bet that researchers would not be able to find records for hunting seasons from 1963. Although that date is right in the middle of today’s hunting season, and records of 1963 javelina hunting seasons are hard to find, they are trying to convince us that Brother Branham was not at Sunset Mountain when the cloud was photographed, which they think will cast doubt in our minds about what really happened. Yes, the skeptics could have the wrong date for the season. They might have Brother Branham’s schedule wrong. Let’s pretend Branham did not make these statements, and examine the hunting records that Voice of God Recordings gambled their followers would never find. Hunting season for javelina was March 1-­‐10, 1963, which aligns with the timelines given by William Branham as he describes his going to Houston for the first time in several years on March 4, 1963, and then returning for the hunt after the Houston trip. The argument by the deceiving organization and defending pastors is that it is possible special permits were given the Arizona Game and Fish Department’s knowledge, but why would Branham have needed a special pass when his hunt was within the season of March 1-­‐10 1963?
