MINUTES
Annual Meeting April 15, 2015
Call to order and welcome those in attendance
ODI President, Lee Trautman
Lee asked for a motion to dispense with reading of 2014 minutes as they
were mailed to Board Members after last year’s Annual Meeting. Nancy Hamren moved, and Floyd
Bodyfelt seconded. The motion passed.
Reports
Treasurer’s Report (March 29th)
Matt Andrews
Matt gave a detailed report of the finances of ODI.
Matt also mentioned the Washington Food Protection Conference at Lake Chelan on September 23-25.
He left brochures on the ODI Registration table.
Matt asked for a motion to accept the Financial Report. Nancy Hamren moved and John Harvey
seconded. The motion passed by a vote.

Golf Outing Committee
Greg Younger
We held a brief planning meeting on Tuesday after the last conference session. Upcoming event will be
July 15, 2015, at Langdon Farms, Canby. They set a goal to reach for profits to benefit the OSU
Bodyfelt Scholarship Fund. Lee thanked the Golf Committee for last year’s work on the tournament.
Show of Appreciation

Lee thanked those speakers and presenters who contributed to this year’s program at considerable
expenditure of time and effort. To learn from them is the reason for this gathering each year. He
mentioned that we are always in search of new and better methods and ideas and asked that anyone
having idea email them to an ODI Board Member.
There are many committees who perform their jobs quietly and diligently. We enjoy the ODI Golf
Tournament and the annual conference, because of these. Additionally, there are the committees for
scholarships, university relations, the membership committee, the dairy products evaluation, and the
program committee. He asked for a round of applause.

Necrology Report

Each year it becomes our solemn duty to pay our respects to a few of our members who are no longer
with us. Therefore, be it resolved by the assembled members of the Oregon Dairy Industries that the
Secretary be instructed to make an appropriate remittance to the Oregon Dairy Industries Scholarship
fund on behalf of the following deceased members:

Pictures were displayed in the hallway by the ODI registration table. We honored our friends with a
moment of silence.
Cheese Tray Committee
Les Todd
Les talked about the different types of cheeses we would taste at the cheese tray this year. There were
over 50 varieties. Included were donations from 5 universities. Also deep fried cheese curds. Cupcakes
were back. He thanked all the companies who donated. This year the beer and wine were donated.
Nominating Committee

Ratification of continuing members. Hank, introduced and had all these continuing Executive
Committee Members and Board Members stand. Then asked for a vote to ratify them from the
membership by way of “all in favor?” “all opposed?”

Hank called for a motion to accept the nominations. Matt Andrews moved, Nancy Hamren
seconded. The motion carried by a vote of the membership.
Our next ODI Board/Program Planning Committee meeting will be held here at the Salem Conference Center
on Tuesday, May 12th, 2015.
Next year’s 105th ODI Annual Conference will be held at the Salem Conference Center on April 12-13, 2016.
