Official Guidelines:
1. Completed applications must be turned in on March 20th to the Office of Student Activities
office A665 NO LATER than 5:00PM.
2. Along with the application, please include a labeled CD of the band’s music with 3 tracks.
3. Bands MUST have at least one member that is a full-time student at the University of
Arkansas.
4. Solo acts are welcome.
5. Bands will be notified no later than April 1, 2015 and if selected, your band must be notified
for a sound check and then for the performance.
6. No single performer can try out in more than two bands.
7. Each band will be allowed 15 minutes total for set up, performance, and tear down. (3 minute
set up, 10 minute performance, 2 minute tear down) Set up and tear downs for preceding
bands will overlap to cut down on the delay. You will be interrupted for running over your
allotted time.
8. Any band member who appears under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other controlled
substances will cause the band to be disqualified.
9. Bands must perform original material.
10. Representative must schedule a meeting with Micah Minter to discuss performance logistics.

11. You will be able to give away merchandise: YOU CAN NOT RECEIVE FUNDS.
Technical Information:
1. Participants must provide any additional equipment. This equipment must be able to plug
into the provided sound system.
2. University Programs will provide a piano, a mic., and speakers.
3. Participants may bring and use their own individual effect pedals.
4. University Programs and University of Arkansas are not responsible for damage or theft of
personal property.
5. Abuse or theft of the provided equipment will result in immediate reparation to the equipment
provider.
6. University Programs will provide a professional audio technician who will mix all bands.
