8th Grade Dance Information
Come Celebrate!!!
The 8th grade dance is a great event each year and we look forward to celebrating the
completion of 8th grade with our students. It will be an evening of fun, dancing, food, and
friends. We hope to see you there.
Date: Saturday, May 16, 2015
Time: 6:00-8:00 pm
Where: Oak Grove Middle School multipurpose room
Tickets: $10.00 each- On sale May 4, 2015-May 9, 2015- in the morning, in the 8th grade waiting
area behind the school. This price includes photos, food, music, and more. No refunds will be
given for any reason and any left over money will be put into the general school fund.
Attire: Dresses must be of mid-thigh length and necklines must not be too revealing. Dresses
may be strapless or have spaghetti straps. Gentlemen must wear a collared shirt. Shorts are
not permitted. We ask that students think carefully about their choices of dress for the
evening, as we will turn away students who are inappropriately dressed.
Notes: The dance is celebration of completing 8th grade so we ask that only 8th grade Oak
Grove Middle School students attend. No limousines are allowed. Student arriving in a limo
or getting dropped off down the road by a limo will not be permitted in the dance. The dance
is only for students who have exemplary behavior throughout the year. Students with chronic
discipline issues, or those disciplined for fighting, battery, bullying, drugs, alcohol, or tobacco
use, will not be eligible to attend the 8th grade dance. Administration has the right to exclude
any student from the dance.
