Energize Our Neighborhoods Working with residents to energize and enhance the livability of our neighborhoods. Energize Our Neighborhoods Partnership Structure Energize Our Neighborhoods is a collaboration between Boise’s residents, public and private partners, and the City to keep our neighborhoods unique and desirable. It focuses on aligning community resources to improve livability and make measurable change. Advisory Group Neighborhood members that provide input to the Leadership Team Energize Our Neighborhoods is an innovative model that will be used throughout the City. By focusing on individual neighborhoods and using data as a road map, we will increase economic activity, improve safety, provide additional services and create more vibrant and connected neighborhoods. LIV is an expression of Boise’s vision to be the most Livable City in the country. LIV Boise is a citywide effort to promote livability throughout our community. It encompasses sustainable practices, policies and partnerships that preserve Boise’s livability for present and future generations. The City of Boise identified the Vista Neighborhood as an area rich in opportunity after reviewing citywide livability indicators, neighborhood demographics and several significant local assets. Downtown Boise BSU Overland Federal Way Roosevelt Vista Ave. Vista Avenue Vista Avenue is an important economic catalyst for the Vista Neighborhood and the entire city. New York Canal Whitney Community Center The Whitney Community Center is operated by Boise Parks & Recreation in partnership with the Boise School District. The community center is a great neighborhood resource. It offers amenities that include a free after-school program, studio space for art and dance classes, a supervised teen activity center and a community garden.
