Celebrates NeighborWorks Week 2015
June 6 - Dare to Dream Youth Empowerment Retreat: The retreat will walk high school juniors & seniors through topics
such as etiquette, college prep, and financial preparedness. Location: New Providence Baptist Church.
June 8 - Neighborhood Shot Out-Social Media Campaign: NHSSF will encourage residents across South Florida to
“Shout Out” their neighborhood via social media using #RepYourHoodNW to encourage neighborhood spirit & pride.
June 9 - Neighborhood Clean Up/Beautification: The Community Building Department will lead a group of DOOR volunteers in a clean up/beautification project in the 79th St. Corridor. Participants will engage with residents who live in the area.
June 10 - Realtor/Mortgage Meet and Greet: The Community Building Department and NHSSF lending and real estate
staff will host a Meet and Greet for local realtors and mortgage professionals. Guests will learn about NHSSF’s 79th St.
Corridor work, real estate development in Brownsville & Coconut Grove West, and NHSSF lending products and services.
June 11 - Citi Global Day: CitiBank volunteers will join NHSSF Staff for a mural painting & landscaping project at Earlington
Heights Elementary school.
June 12 - NHSSF Appreciation Bar-B-Q: Join NHSSF staff as we host an outdoor appreciation feast for friends of NHSSF!
June 14 - Day at Marlins Park: NHSSF staff and the 79th Street Coalition For Change for a day at Marlins park—a change of
scenery from black boards and scratched notes to spend time in the community and outdoors!
