A. Real Men Talk: Setting Up Forums For Healthy Conversations
Leaders: Rev. Preston Thompson, Jr., Mr. Kenn Moore, Rev. Reginald W. Johnson, II
The goal of this workshop is to assist the participants in establishing biblically based processes to discuss
Men’s issues in an open environment to promote fellowship and camaradarie.
B. Setting Up Cross-Generational Conversations In Your Church
Leader: Min. Craig S. Campbell
Panel Discussion: We will discuss the unique qualities and differences in each generation. We will
discuss the working style and way of communicating. We seek to enhance the quality of crossgenerational conversation in our men’s groups (boys).
C. How To Start or Enhance A Men’s Ministry
Leader: Mr. Thomas Williams
Looking to start or strengthen your Men’s Ministry? This workshop will provide tools which help to start
and sustain an effective, enriching ministry that addresses the specific needs of Christian men.
D. Mentoring Programs
Leader: Rev. Dr. John E. Gray
This workshop will highlight the need for effective mentoring programs in PBA congregations and focus
on the following areas: (1) Beginning and implementing mentoring programs; (2) Attracting potential
mentees for the program; (3) Choosing and training effective mentors; (4) Assessing the effectiveness of
the program.

Workshop Leaders
Min. Craig S. Campbell currently serves as an Associate Minister and the Church Administrator at
Zion Baptist Church in Ambler, PA. He is also the Superintendent of Sunday School, and a member
of the Zion Tabernacle Choir, along with providing Pre-Marital and Marriage Counselling. Min.
Campbell graduated from Eastern University’s Palmer Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, PA,
with a Master of Divinity Degree. Craig’s earliest reflections of his religious experiences were
instilled in him and his identical twin brother, Chris, by grandparents who believed in moral lessons
of religion that upheld the belief that the absence of training negatively impact future outcome.
“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs
22:6). He accepted his call into ministry May of 2004, and was licensed May 2006 in the state of
Pennsylvania. Min. Campbell graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in Business from
Livingstone College, in Salisbury, NC. His life Scripture is “I can do all things through Christ who
strengtheneth me.” (Philip 4:13). He is a retired Manager of Frozen Broker Sales with Campbell
Soup Company. He serves as a Board Member and volunteer for the Chosen 300 Homeless
Ministry. He is happily married for 36 years to his wife and college sweetheart, Dr. Wanda LewisCampbell. They have two adult children, Nia and Craig II, and one delightful grandson named
Caleb.
Rev. Dr. John E. Gray is the Senior Pastor of the Goodwill Tabernacle Baptist Church in
Philadelphia, PA. He also serves as the Vice Principal of the Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. School Complex
in Atlantic City, NJ. In addition to serving as a pastor and school administrator, Dr. Gray is also an
adjunct professor of the Richard Stockton University in Pomona, NJ. Dr. Gray founded, along with
his wife Antoinette, Brighter Horizons Educational Services, which provides consulting services to
school districts and educational organizations. Dr. Gray stands at the forefront of the movement for
mentoring youth. His dissertation, entitled “The impact of mentoring on the academic achievement
of African American middle school males,” has served as a model of best practices for mentoring.
Through his work, he has co-authored a comprehensive work about the topic of mentoring with
scholars from around the country. The book, Mentoring African American Males: A Research
Design Comparison Perspective, is currently used as required reading in colleges and
universities. Dr. Gray has also lectured at many conferences, including the Black Caucus
Conference of the New Jersey Education Association, and the Ethnic Leaders Meeting at the
National Education Association Annual Conference. He has over 15 years of experience in
education and pastoral ministry, and holds a doctorate degree in Administrator Leadership for
Teaching and Learning.
Rev. Reginald W. Johnson, II is the pastor of Holy Nation Baptist Church in Philadelphia, PA.
Mr. Kenn Moore acts and facilitates Men’s programming at Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church. He
has provided leadership and encouragement in developing programs that are male focused and
biblically centered for male spiritually development.
Rev. Preston Thompson, Jr.’s ministry has spanned over twenty years with over fifteen of those
years actively involved in Men’s Ministry. Rev. Thompson served as the director of the Men’s
Ministry of The Baptist Worship Center establishing a Men’s support ministry, annual conference,
and other creative programming. Known for his creative, engaging teaching style, Rev. Thompson
is a frequently sought after preacher and instructor
