The Week of the Young Child is an annually celebrated event sponsored by the National
Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The week of the Young Child is a time
for the community to focus on the importance of early childhood programs. In honor of this week,
the Plainfield Park District has created a week long calendar of events for children and their families
to enjoy. The events are FREE of charge! Look for a schedule of events that will be placed in your
child’s bag. Please be sure to take advantage of some of the “not to miss” opportunities Plainfield
Park District has to offer during this week.
Here at Great Adventures we will be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair. The Book Fair will be available
for you to visit all week at the Heritage Professional Center during school hours.
