Dear Polocrosse Victoria Clubs and Members,
At the Trafalgar Polocrosse Club Tournament Polocrosse Victoria will be holding an ANZAC
Day Ceremonial Service and we invite all clubs to participate.
At 8am the first four clubs and umpires playing on the draw on Saturday morning are asked
to be mounted, ready to play and together form a guard of honour in front of the
clubhouse. All other players and supporters are asked to attend in their club gear. A short
ceremony will be held including a reading, placing of wreaths at the Australian Flag, playing
of “The Last Post” and the singing of the National Anthem. Polocrosse Victoria will
purchase a wreath and other clubs are able to do so if they wish.
The Polocrosse Committee feel it is important to honour the traditions of ANZAC Day and
what the ANZAC spirit represents to Australians today.
