All games against Redfield were cancelled and another week of practice was lost for most teams. All players should continue their fitness in preparation for their games against St. Andrew’s School next week at home. 1st XV Our first game of the term was against a South African team from Beaulieu College. The first half started with a bang! Kick Off, they knocked on, the scrum, simple pass catch try. A period of mistakes by both sides was interrupted by another try to CCGS. Just before half time, Beaulieu scored a soft try near the posts and they converted. 15 to 7 lead. . Our possession was marred by poor execution in the pass catch situation. One field. The opposition tried to pull the maul down but were unsuccessful. The maul continued until a try was scored in the corner. Such magnificent ball control Rugby Newsletter CENTRAL COAST GRAMMAR SCHOOL such pass was intercepted and they scored in the corner. The best for CCGS was from a line out 40 metres out, we secured possession and took the ball in and began a rolling maul down- and keeping on their feet, the crowd went wild! The boys certainly learned a few things about themselves and are looking forward to St. Andrew’s in 2 weeks’ time. The games against Redfield College were cancelled due to the extremely poor conditions of the Redfield fields.
