Installation should be performed by qualified personnel
Disconnect all the live supplies before connecting SPD
Make sure the system voltage does not exceeds operating voltage of SPD
Ungrounded power systems are highly unstable and can allow excessively
high line-to-ground voltages during certain fault conditions. During these
fault conditions any electrical equipment, including an SPD, may be subjected
to voltages which exceed their designed ratings

Nowerdays all domestic and industrial devices are very sophisticated , any form of
surges /transients damages the IC’s present inside the modern devices which
leads to its malfunctioning. Surges are mainly generated due to the following
events such as :a) Indirect lightining strike
b) Switching of heavy electrical loads (Air conditioning,Motors,heaters …)
c) Magnetic/inductive coupling
GUARDIAN SPD is a type 2 device intended to connect to load side of the
service equipment overcurrent device , it can handle heavy surges caused to due
to indirect lightining strike,an indirect lightining strike can induce thousand of
volts in powerlines for a short period which is enough to damage any devices .

INSTALLATION

LOCATION
Identify a proper location where the spd
should be connected , the best way is to
connect as close to the Distribution panel
as possible with minimal green wire length.
2)
System voltage
Measure the L-N, L-G and N-G of the AC system. DC systems measure from positive
and negative input. Confirm that the SPD is correctly rated for the system to which it is
to be connected to. Do this by comparing the measured voltages to the SPD voltage
ratings shown on the product’s rating label.
For AC system connect Red wire to Live , Black wire to Nuetral and Green wire to
Earth/Ground .
For DC system connect Red wire to +ve , Black wire to –ve and Green wire to
Earth/Ground .
WARRANTY
GUARDIAN SPD comes under the warranty period of 5 YEARS.This warranty shall
not apply if the product has been damaged by unreasonable use, accident,
negligence, service or modification by anyone other than POWERITSOLAR, or by
any other causes unrelated to materials and workmanship. The original consumer
purchaser must retain original purchase receipt for proof of purchase as a
condition precedent to warranty coverage.
