Do you need Community Service hours? We could use your help at the Goodwill Donation Drive on Saturday, May 9th, in the Westgate Shopping Mall parking lot - facing Hamilton Ave (near Ross & Walmart). If you are available 1 hour, or more (anytime during 10am-2:30pm), please contact Sonia Kao at [email protected], or (669)233-5846. We need a few student volunteers to make signs, post or wave them around. Also, to pass out flyers. This is in support of Prospect Grad Night. Thanks! Congratulations to Prospect High School Swim and Dive! Both Boys and Girls teams went home with the league title this season! Both teams put tremendous work in this year to become League Champions. Don’t forget to congratulate our panther swimmers! (Hinshaw) Spring Football begins Monday, May 11th and we will kick-off in room 30 after school. All returning and interested student athletes are welcome. Tryouts will take place after school on Thursday, May 21st, beginning at 2:45 in room 30. Last day to sign-up will be Tuesday, May 19th. Each participant will need to bring three copies of their speech on the day of the tryout. If you have any questions please see Mr. Rose. Attention ALL tennis players or wannabe tennis players: There is a mandatory meeting in Coach Chisholm’s room (room 67) today, April 7th at lunch. We will discuss summer, the girls season and the end of season boys tennis party. Deadline for Link Crew application is tomorrow, May 8th. (O’Holleran) Coming up on May 22nd is COLOR CHAOS! Prospect’s version of a color run. Pre order a shirt and chalk starting May 13 or buy them the day of. (Salazar) Hey Panthers! Lip Sync is coming back to Prospect on May 21st. If you are looking to sign up, forms are available in the activities office now. They are due to Ms. Salazar by May 13th. Attention Prospect Students! Dodgeball is the week of May 11th! Come to the gym and watch your classmates go face to face! Forms are available in the activities and due Friday May 8th to Ms. Salazar. College and Career Center News: Interested in pursuing a career in dentistry? Tomorrow, May 8 the Career Spotlight talk will feature Dr. Brent Ingram, local dentist who attended the University of the Pacific dental school. Dr. Ingram will also talk about making a career change as he initially received his accounting degree from Pepperdine University before deciding to become a dentist. The talk will take place in the library during Study Hall and Lunch on Friday, May 8. Erik's Deli Cafe in Saratoga is having a WEEK long fundraiser for the sports at Prospect!! Starting Monday May 18th from 4 to 9pm everyday for a week until May 22nd. The Goodwill truck will be parked in the Westgate parking lot from 9:00am to 4:00pm to collect donations of clothing, books, ewaste (TVs, computer monitors, audio and stereo equipment, video game consoles, etc.), sporting goods, bicycles, clean stuffed animals and toys. They do not accept furniture or large appliances. The truck will be located on the side of the shopping center that faces Hamilton Avenue, near Ross. Grad Night will receive payment based on how full the truck is by the end of the day, so please help us to fill it up! Grad Night Fundraiser at Schroeder’s March 28 to May 9th, 5343 Prospect Road. No appointments necessary! Mention “Prospect Grad Night” when get your hair cut between March 28 and May 9 at Schroeder’s Westgate West!! Once we reach 25 haircuts, Schroeder’s will donate 50% of every hair cut price to GRAD NIGHT 2015! Flower Leis for Graduation: Pre-order a beautiful flower lei, Class of 2015 Kukui Nut Lei or custom Prospect Blue and Gold Kukui Nut for your graduate!
