Skill Based Certification/Diploma Courses
(Under Section 27(1) of Chhattisgarh Act No.2512004)
1.
objective
Notwithstanding the integrated nature of a course spread over more than one academic
vear, the ordinances in force at the time a student.ioins a course shall hold good only for
the examination held during or at the end of the academic year. The University Grants
Commission (UGC) has launched a scheme on skills development based higher education as
part of college/university education, leading to Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) Degree with
multiple set
of
programs exits such as Diploma/Advanced Diploma under the
NSQF.
Certification and Diploma programs are focused on universities and colleges providing
undergraduate studies which would also incorporate'specific job roles and their NOSs along
with broad based general education. This would enable the candidates completing Eachelor
Degree
to
make a meaningful participation in accelerating India's economy by gaining
appropriate employment, becoming entrepreneurs and creating appropriate knowledge.
2.
Eligibility
Any candidate will be eligible to join above mentioned Certification and Diploma courses, if
he/she has passed 10+2 examinations in any stream Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary
Education, or any other Central/State Government recognized board as equivalent.
Pattern
A.
Any candidate who is going to take admission from academic year 2015-16 onwards in any
regular UG courses i.e. BA, B.Sc and B.Com can opt for these certification and diploma
courses
in his third year of
study. He/She will be awarded degree along with
certificate/Diploma in applied skill based course.
Any candidate who is eligible can take admission in the Certification/ Diploma courses,
separately.

Deliverance
A candidate
will be awarded with certification in applied skill
based course after completion
and passing of 160 hours within a span of six months of training and assessment. Likewise a
candidate will be awarded with diploma in applied skill based study after completion and
passing of 320 hours within a span of one year of training and assessment.
Medium The medium of teaching/ instructions and examinations will be in Hindi or English as per
requirement of the candidates.
Examination/Assessment
The examination or assessment of the candidates will be based on his cognitive, practical
and skill based knowledge aspects. Objective based questions will be served to test the
cognitive knowledge, Practical or product preparation will be done to test the practical
competency and Viva-voce will be the tool
candidate. Every candidate will have
to
to test the overall skill knowledge of the
pass individually in each of the segment of the
examination/assessment i.e,. Objective, practical and Viva.
7.
Reappearance in Examination/Assessment
lf any UG candidate fails to
pass during these assessments he/she
will have chance to
reappear within the parafera of maximum of 6 years as per ordinance of UG courses. lf any
candidate who is separately doing these certification or diploma courses he/she will have
to clear the examination within next 12 month from the declaration of results to obtain
a
valid certificate from the universitv.
