Executive MBA Entrance Examinations - 2015 - 2016
Documents required to be shown for verification during GD&PI Round on 19th April 2015.
The candidates will have to produce the following original certificates and documents before presenting
himself / herself for the GD and PI Test.
a. Photo Identity Card*
b. Marks Statement of Degree (Graduation) and Post Graduation (If applicable)
c. Experience Certificates from Employer(s) for experience earned at Managerial Level only
after graduation.
d. Last 3yrs IT Returns (Form 16) for Experience.
e. Documents of Registration of Business showing name of the applicant (for
Entrepreneurs)
f.
Caste Certificate & Caste Validity Certificate (for reserved category candidates)
g. Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (for all reserved categories except SC/ST) valid for current
year
NOTE:
•
The candidate has to bring the original Caste Certificate, Caste Validity Certificate
and Non-Creamy Layer Certificate at the time of GD/PI.
•
If the candidate cannot validate his or her caste at the time of GD/PI, then he/she
will be listed in the general merit list.
* Photo Identity Card: includes Company’s ID card, Passport, Driving License, PAN card, Aadhar card and
Voters card.
Merit list be displayed
Merit list will be displayed on the website (www.pumba.in) and on the department Notice board on 22nd
April 2015 by 5 PM.
•
No communication will be made to the candidates separately.
•
The admission will be made strictly on the basis of overall merit i.e. Combined Score =
Entrance Test Score + GD Score + PI Score
•
If the candidate fails to appear for GD or for PI, he/she will not be eligible for
admission.
Distribution of Seats
Total Seats: 60 : The total intake capacity is 60 seats. Out of this 50% (i.e. 30 seats) will be filled as per
statutory reservations only from State of Maharashtra as indicated in the table below. Remaining 30
seats will be filled in the open category. 3% of the total intake capacity (i.e. 2 seats) shall be reserved for
physically handicapped candidates and shall be filled up over and above the intake capacity, if required.
Decision of the Department in this regard shall be final.
For the preparation of category wise merit lists it is important to present the Original Caste Certificate,
Caste Validity certificate and “Non-Creamy layer” certificate at the time of GD/PI.

Counseling procedure for Admission
Admission by the process of counseling at PUMBA is on 25th April, 2015 at 10.30 AM
Counseling procedure
Admission to the Executive MBA program is given in the counseling procedure. This involves verification
of all documents listed above and seat allotment after payment of fees by a demand draft. This is done
according to the guidelines provided by the Maharashtra State Government and University of Pune.
Counseling procedure
On the day of counseling round, admissions are confirmed for candidates in the following order:
1. 30 seats from Open Category will be filled as per the inter-se merit list (general merit list)
2. 30 seats for reserved category graduates from University of Pune are filled as per the Reserved
Category merit list in the order given in the above table.
3. If any seats remain vacant in any of the reservation seats after following all the rounds for the
admissions of reservation seats as per university norms, same will be offered to open category
candidate based on general merit list.
4. 2 seats for physically handicapped candidates are filled.
Important Note:
1. Appearance of name of any candidate in the merit list does not ensure
admission.
2. The candidate has to be present in PUMBA on the day of counseling with
all the required documents and the demand draft.
3. If Candidate is not able to present himself/herself for the counseling
round,
he/she
may
send
their
relatives
only
from
blood
relations/husband/wife with an authority letter clearly containing
signature of the candidate along with his/her PAN card.
4. Demand Draft of Rs. 75,000/- should be drawn from any nationalized
bank in favour of “Finance & Accounts Officer, SP Pune University”
payable at Pune. It is mandatory to bring the same on the day of
counseling i.e. on 25th April 2015 for confirmation of admission.
5. After completion of Admission on 25th April 2015, a waiting list will be
prepared from the remaining present candidates only. This list will be
considered for admission against cancellation (if any).
6. In case of any discrepancy in the admission process, the final decision
making authority will be the head of the department.
