100thRegular Weekly Meeting
1. President Rtn Niaz Rahim called the 100th Regular Weekly Meeting into order at 7:45 pm on 11 March
2015.
2. Rtn Quantara led the invocation.
3. President recognized the presence of DG Rtn Safina Rahman, Rtn PDG K.M. Zainul Abedin, Rtn PDG Salim
Reza, Rtn PDG Rafiq Ahmed Siddique, Rtn PDG Md. Hafizullah, Rtn PDG Abdul Ahad, PDG Ishtiaque Zaman
Asst Governor Dr. Ladly K Faiz, Rtn TIM Nurul Kabir, Rtn PP Akhtar Hossain Chowdhury, Rtn Maj. Gen. Abu
Roshde Rokonuddawla(Retd), Rtn PP Md. Rubayet Hossain, and Rtn PP Dr. Md. A.H. Zahidul Islam (ROMEL)
Rtn PP M A Wahab, Rtn. PP Md. Ashrafuzzaman Nannu, Rtn. PP AK Muzibur Rahman. All the guests
were presented a bouquet of flowers. President mentioned that in the 100th meeting of the club, only
those exclusive Rotarians to whom the club feels indebted for their contribution in journey of 100
meetings, were invited to express our gratitude.
4. Rtn Srabobi Sarker read out the greatings.
5. The minutes of the 99h RWM, which were pre-circulated amongst the members through email, were
confirmed as circulated.
6. DG Rtn Safina inducted Mr. Kamal Talukder, DMD, Eastern Bank Ltd. into Rotary as a member of RC of
Dhaka MahaNagar. She mentioned that Rtn Kamal is has been a good friend of her for 30 years.
7. Rtn Arif Jebtik gave the report of Fellowship committee. He gave a detail account of the Full Moon Picnic
that was held near Pink City on 07 March. He mentioned that the Picnic was a good break and a long
coveted opportunity for family fellowship.
8. Rtn PP Ibrahim Al Zayad Pinak gave a presentation on the clubs journey to the 100th meeting. He presented
the clubs achievement in membership, Fellowship. TRF and in service projects including the recently held
Rotary Peace Conference, Bangladesh.
9. Rtn TIM Nurul Kabir thanked the club for inviting him in the 100th meeting of the club. PDG Ahad, PDG Md.
Hafizullah, PDG Rafiq Ahmed Siddique, PDG Salim Reza and PDG K.M. Zainul Abedin expressed their
admiration and congratulated the club for its achievements in such a short span of time. Their words were
extremely inspiring and the club members felt the joy of victory.
10. DG Safina Rahman, who was also the GSR of the club expressed her satisfaction at the club’s progress and
challenged the club for achieving more on TRF.
11. Rtn PP Nurul Alam thanks the guests for gracing the meeting and the kind words.
12. Joint Sgt-at-Arms Rtn Tahsina Afroz Rumpa gave the attendance statistics
13. Secretary informed the club members about the upcoming District Conference to be held on 13-14 March
2015. Secretary requested the members to pay for the semi-annual dues as it fell due on 31 December
2014. He also mentioned that the clubs had earned the privilege of being visited by the International Inner
Wheel President during the next RW meeting to be held on 18 March. He mentioned that the venue would
be notified after finalizing the details of the program.
14. President finally adjourned the meeting at 9:00 pm expressing his pleasure to have presided over the
meeting and inviting everyone to join the dinner after cutting the cake.

Greetings : Wedding Day - 19 March – Rtn C M Fazle Sami and Rty Ann Mansura Moin
International Inner Wheel President
ABHA GUPTA
Mrs. Abha Gupta was born on 30th September in a cultured Jain
family of Hansi in Haryana, India. Her family shifted to Jaipur the
center of Rajput culture. She did her Masters in History. She was
married on 15th February to Rtn. Rajana Gupta PHF . Avery
understanding and encouraging husband, Rajan motivated Abha
to enter the world of service.
She joined Inner Wheel Club of Delhi Central as Charter Member
in 1977 and ever since has been enthusiastically involved in Inner
Wheel. She headed the Association of Inner Wheel Club in India
in 1995-96. She attended the 15th International Convention at
Istambul, Turkey in 2012-13 as the voting delegate.
A unique point is, for the 1st time from India she served as the International Board as International Inner
Wheel Board Director twice. She was convener for the Installation of Association Presidents in the year 200405 and 2010-11. She was also the President of Past Association of Presidents (PAP) Forum for three years from
2010 to 2013.
She adopted an Old Age Home. In 2005 with 23 senior citizen and is totally looked after by her. She is
associated with Rotary Viklang Center where physically handicapped people are given free calipers, foot,
wheel chairs etc. A vocational center for girls is run by her where they are taught stitching so that they can
rehabilitate themselves.
She is a Paul Harris Fellow, she is a member of Rotary Cancer Foundation., Upchar Rajasthan Club, India.
She firmly believes that we are put on earth with a purpose to make this a better place.
All her children are married. She is a fortunate grand mother of three grand children.
Holding all the high position in International Inner Wheel, Mrs. Abha Gupta has now become International
Inner Wheel President.
