Ouderkerkerplas RC LASER NETHERLANDS NOTICE OF RACE RC LASER CHAMPIONSHIP OF NATIONS 2015 22, 23 en 24 May 2015 Location Watersportvereniging Ouderkerkerplas (WVOP) Aan de wind 9 1191 LD Ouderkerk aan de Amstel Noord Holland Rules The event will be governed by - The ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing 2013/2016 with Appendix E - RC Laser Class Rules - Basic rules RC Laser sailing (incl. the standard Sailinstr. UKRCLA) - Heat Management System (HMS 2007) Any changes made to the (Sailing)Instructions will be posted on the Official Notice Board at Race Control. Except for any start or finish marks, boats hull or rigging may touch a mark on the course, provided that the mark has been rounded correctly as described by the course set. This varies RRS 31. All skippers are expected to conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner at all times (Physically and verbally). When there become a dispute, you can not approach an other competitor(s) or third parties with physically and/or loud verbal harassment. It will not be tolerated and will result in exclusion (DSQ) for further event. They must, individually, be insured with third party liability insurance with a minimum cover of Euro 1,500,000 per event, or equivalent. Competitors participate in the Regatta entirely at their own risk. Class Rules All boats will have to comply with the RC Laser Class Rules - version dated 7 th June, 2011, with current approved amendments up to August 2012. All boats can be subject to compliance checks, to the Class Rules. Sail identification shall comply with the diagrams and guidance provided by RC Laser Ned and the UKRCLA. This varies RRS E6. D rigs, whether factory supplied, or produced by John Tushingham, may be used. All signals will be made from ashore, from race control, which will be located adjacent to the start line. Information for the competitors regarding Race Areas, Marks, and Courses, will be advised verbally by the Race Committee, and clearly shown on the Race Notice Board. Scoring The scores will be processed by using the Heat Management System (HMS 2007). Depending on the number of participants and group number, If the number of participants makes it possible to sail than in one group, the ZW-scoring program will be used. Entries Entries can be made using a copy of the registrationform (get one with a link in our forum) The number of entries is set at a maximum of 45. If necessary, a waiting list will be compiled. Registration is open until May 1st, 2015. Required entrance Fee Entry fee: € 65.00. These costs must be paid as soon as possible after the registration, if it surely be paid before May 1st (bank account number and other required information, see the registration form). Subscriptions are only confirmed upon receipt of the registration fee. Registrations for which no fee is received on May 1st, will expire on May 2th. Due to reservations and other matters, it is not possible to cancel after May 1st 2015, and then no refunds will take place. For sailors who arrive on Thursday, there are opportunities to sail or to watch the racing site. Data (time) for this Thursday will be announced later. However, there is no support for example when a boat is become lost. It is a private club with its own clubhouse and sail area. Behind and around the clubhouse area there is pavement and grass. In bad weather or rain there can be sought for a different solution This will be announced later. No boat will be allowed in the Clubhouse in a rigged condition. There is a boat storage for the club members but we do not know if we can use it. As a consequence there will be many boat bags and stands about the club premises. Think carefully about a means of identification. For those of you with less than generous room in cars, or who are sharing transport, it will be possible to leave boat bags overnight within the clubhouse, but the Club cannot accept any responsibility of any sort, for boats and equipment so left on the premises. Additionally, there is parking in the area and we are still investigating whether opportunities for camping on-site. Also in the neighborhood there are several possibilities (hotels, campsites) to stay. Catering There will be food and drink available in the clubhouse. There maybe will a possibility to preorder for lunch in the morning. There will be a social event-diner on the sat evening in the clubhouse or in a nearby restaurant, cost and more details to come. The region The village and lake-location is nearby our capital city and airport, so there are hotels in the vicinity of the area and the region. There are several nice restaurants in the village. Directions Ouderkerk aan de Amstel is easy to reach it is nearby the the A9, A2 and A10. Furthermore Ouderkerk aan de Amstel also well served by public transport. The nearest station is Station Holendrecht or Station RAI. Schiphol Airport is 19 minutes away by car. If transfers are required, please contact timely, then we will see what is best to facilitate you sailors!
