Report
This week has been good but we have all
been waiting for the election! Year 6 have
been getting ready for SATS next week. We
weren’t here on Monday as it was a Bank Holiday, though the week has gone quite slowly. Year 5 have gone to Young
Mariners and we are sure they are going to have a great time. Year 6 are extremely excited for the Isle of Wight as it is
the week after SATS.

Year 5 Young Mariners trip
This week Year 5 pupils stayed for two nights at the Herts Young Mariners Base in Cheshunt. The children took part in a range of activities
including kayaking, raft building, climbing and team challenges. This was my first trip with Redbourn Juniors and I was extremely
impressed with the attitude of our children. Everybody participated in the activities with great enthusiasm and challenged themselves.
The children worked really well in teams and were well behaved throughout the three days. I would like to thank Mrs Burman,
Mr Harrison, Mr Kneller, Mrs Ellis, Mrs Willis and Mrs Redwood for accompanying the children.
We have already booked for next year, so Year 4 can start to look forward to a great trip!
Parent Curriculum Information evening
Wednesday 17th June – 7.30pm
We would like to invite you to an information evening next half term. We intend to hold these evenings on a termly basis, giving parents
the opportunity to find out how you can support your child in their learning. Senior staff will deliver short workshops on a range of topics.
This term a particular focus will be on the new National Curriculum and the way that pupils will now be assessed without “levels”.
No toys or collectable cards in school
We do not allow any toys or collectable cards to be brought into school. They are a distraction, they get lost or damaged and lead to
disagreements between pupils. Any toys or collectable items will be confiscated and returned to pupils at the end of the day. Please
support us in ensuring that the children are fully focussed in lessons
