Harris hComms Battle and Communications Network Management Software
addresses mission-critical needs for full-spectrum network-operations management,
complete battlefield management and advanced communications—all through a
common interface. In use today, hComms is comprised of two main components:
hManager, for network planning and management, and hC2 for data sharing.

control communications software solution connects all echelons—from headquarters to
tactical edge—making critical information available where and when it’s needed with its four
specialized products: hC2 Node Center, Command, Patrol and Dismount.

The Harris hC2 Patrol RF-7800N-BM300 Forward Battle Management System for mounted
and dismounted frontline commanders is designed with operational simplicity in mind and fits
into any organization by providing precisely the tools needed by battlefield commanders. With
its touch screen design, users can quickly plan the next phase or make changes to the current
mission, then distribute new orders with ease with pre-identified unique call signs of others in
the network. Users can also view webcam video within the application and change the screen
to its ergonomic “night mode” for more comfortable viewing in dark environments. This
unique two part solution (user interface and server layer) facilitates mobility by enabling the
operator to mount and dismount vehicles in the application, while ensuring that their location
is always accurately known by others in the network.
