5 Resear Interests
My research is in the field of smart electric systems, ranging from smart homes to microgrids and smart
distribution systems. I work on designing efficient and resilient energy management algorithms and communication/control architectures for cyber-physical-social energy systems (CPSES). Basically, I am trying
to improve the operation of CPSES using “intelligent” algorithms (typically based on multi-agent systems)
and tools that take into account technical, economic, environmental and behavioral constraints. My other
research interests include energy storage technologies and applications, as well as real-time simulation
applications.
