2015-16 PLANNING
Placement
It will soon be time to draft
class lists for 2015-2016. You
may refer to page 16 of the JGS
Handbook for information on
this process. Parents who would
like to give placement input
must write a letter to the
principal, Susan Sarles. The
deadline is Friday, May 15,
however we recommend
sending your information as
soon as possible. Input related
to a particular academic,
emotional or social issue will be
given stronger consideration.
Please remember that we are not
always able to honor specific
teacher requests.
Moves and Retentions
We are looking at how many
classrooms we will need for
each grade level next year. It
can be tricky to predict the
number of students, so we
would appreciate your help.
 If your family will be
moving over the summer or
your child will be attending
another school, please send
a note or call the office to let
us know.
 If you and your child’s
teacher have discussed the
possibility of an extra year,
we will be mailing a
retention letter and/or
scheduling a conference to
confirm the decision.
 If you know of any other
information that could
impact our enrollment,
please contact the office.
INQUIRY CLUB

Good luck to our Inquiry Club
students. They will be
presenting their research posters
at 5:00 today at a special event
at Franklin Pierce University.
The students completed their

fourth grade teacher, Andy
Chapman, and FPU professor,
Tom Bennett. They also had the
opportunity to work with FPU
students. Inquiry questions
were quite varied and related to
topics ranging from rainbows to
the Boston Celtics.
