PURPOSE OF DONATION
The purpose of donation is to support Åbo Akademi University’s mission in accordance with Section 2 in the Universities Act (research, education and societal interaction). The donation is entered in the ÅA 100-Anniversary fund of Åbo Akademi University.
The donation is intended for the university’s operations in
general.
I allocate my donation of 10,000 euro or more to a certain field
of education at Åbo Akademi University:

All terms of the donation are defined in this deed of donation.
The donation is gratuitous. The donation is not subject to condition subsequent or a
condition that would tie the usage of the university’s other assets, including possible
matched funding by the state. The university decides on how the donation will be
used.
The donation may involve the state’s matched funding, which may be three times
the donated sum or smaller than the donated sum. The donor is aware that the
donation’s eligibility for matched funding is decided by the Government. The state’s
possible matched funding becomes a permanent part of the university’s basic capital. The university decides on how the return on the basic capital will be used.
The university’s mission is based on the universities Act 558/2009.
The donor’s name as well as the purpose and sum of
the donation may be displayed in university communications.
