St. Helen’s Year End BBQ sponsored by the PEC and Staff will be held on Thursday May 21st from
5:00 to 8:00p.m..
Everyone mark your calendars!

Advance polling station will be available for the elections.
This will be an opportunity for all of us to celebrate a great year and to meet some new families. My hope is
that we will have a great family turnout.. Let’s celebrate and build our wonderful community.

CROWNING OF MARY:
May 8th - Crowning of Mary
The children are asked to bring flowers
from the garden (one per child) e.g. tulip,
daffodil, etc. The children will participate in
a procession around the block and enter the
church with their flowers and put them in a
vase in front of the altar to honour Our Lady.

ELECTIONS TO ST. HELEN’S PARISH
EDUCATION COMMITTEE
Notice is hereby given that elections to St. Helen’s Parish Education Committee will take place on Saturday and Sunday, May 23rd and May 24th, 2015. Advance Poll will be available at the PEC /SCHOOL
BBQ on Thursday, May 21st, 2015. For the coming year, we need to elect Three members from St. Helen’s
Parish for St. Helen’s School Education Committee. One member from the parish will be appointed to St.
Helen’s Education Committee. Also, one member from the parish will be appointed to the Notre Dame Education Committee.
Eligible to nominate and to be nominated for election are all registered parishioners (Catholics living within
our parish boundaries), over 21 years of age and Catholic non-parishioners who have been attending our parish
upon written agreement of their proper canonical pastor. (Pastor Authorization Forms are available in the
school office). Eligible to vote are:

Parishioners 19 years of age and a registered member of St. Helen’s Parish

Your name must appear on the Parish list.

Members of registered families, whose name is not on the list, must contact the office, or
register under their own name before the day of elections. Two Sundays before the election
voters will be able to check if they are registered parishioners at the entrance of the church.
Members of the Nominating Committee are Mr. Bryce Clark (778-389-8851), Mrs. Marci Bifano (604-6128996) and Mr. Lorenzo Aquilini (604-551-2246) Nomination forms must be received in the school office no
later than Monday, May 11th, 2015 by 4:00 p.m.
PSG ELECTIONS
The PSG is a necessary Parent Support Liaison Group between the school and the B.C. Gaming Commission who are responsible for applying for and the expenditure of funds benefiting students.
We will be holding our annual meeting to elect new people to serve for the 2015/2016 school year. The
meeting will be held at 6:00 on Thursday, April 30th in the Grade 6B classroom in the West Wing. Everyone is welcome to attend.
