Intended Audience
This course will be relevant to all who care for Shoulder
& Elbow patients which include Orthopaedic Surgeons,
General Surgeons, Primary Care Physicians, Physician
Assistants, Surgical Assistants, Nurses, Radiologists,
Radiology Technicians, Rheumatologists, Physical and
Occupational Therapists, Athletic Trainers and other
Healthcare Professionals whose scope of practice
includes shoulder and elbow surgery.
Objectives
At the completion of this activity, the participant should be
able to:
• Discuss recent modalities utilized to evaluate patients
with shoulder pain
• Explain the etiology of failed instability repairs
• Describe techniques to prevent complications of reverse
TSA
• Apply algorithm to provide appropriate care for patients
with simple and complex elbow instability
• Employ surgical approach options to improve exposure
to various elbow fractures
