All other uniform expectations remain in place. The Parents & Citizens’ Association operates a uniform shop twice a week at the school. The shop is located beside the main entrance of the school hall. Non-compliance with the dress code A note from a parent/guardian must be produced for any infringement of the school uniform. Students are required to present this note to their Form Teacher during Form Class. The teacher will sign the note and record the reason in ID attend. Students who fail to have a note are issued with a detention. All teachers speak to students in incorrect uniform, ask for their note, and reinforce our uniform policy e.g. student to change into appropriate uniform, teacher to confiscate jewellery, etc. If the student does not comply with this process as noted above, a detention will be issued each time they fail to comply with the dress code. If a student continues to be out of uniform and fails to complete this detention, this will be considered as ‘willful disobedience’ and students may be suspended from school. The student may be prevented from attending or participating in any school activity that, in the reasonable opinion of the school’s principal, is not part of the essential educational program of the school. Financial Hardship The school provides a range of solutions to assist families in financial hardship. These include payment plans, and other approaches that can be negotiated on a case by case basis. Application may be made in writing to the Principal should a dress code variation be required. Appropriate documentation will be required to support the application.
