Board of Directors Meeting

Chairman Bobby Smith called the Meeting to Order at 8:03 a.m. and gave an invocation.
Approval of Minutes:
Ricky McGhee made a motion to approve the February minutes as presented, Stephen Milner
seconded, passed unanimously
Approval of Financials:
Todd Bazemore made a motion to approve the February financials as presented, Davy Wells
seconded, passed unanimously
Director’s Report:
Executive Director Dorie Bacon reported on the March 10th Development Authority Board
Training in Dublin she attended with Davy Wells and Bobby Smith. She also mentioned the
upcoming World Trade Center Consul General event and encouraged board members to write
a note or email thanking Peggy Jolley of Georgia Power for her years of service to the region
as she will be retiring in April.
Old Business:
Industry Appreciation Event: Chairman Bobby Smith reminded everyone to be there by 3
p.m. to assist with cooking. He also encouraged those board spouses who are available to
assist with hostessing duties.
April 20th Project Manager Breakfast: Chairman Bobby Smith asked everyone to RSVP as
soon as possible for the April 19-20 trip to Atlanta for purposes of hotel rooms, GEDA
luncheon, etc. It was mentioned that more than 20 project managers have already RSVP’d for
the breakfast.
Bobby Smith called the meeting to a close at 8:39 a.m.
