Grade 9 June Exam Requirements:
The grade 9 History paper will be 2 hours long and will be out of a 100:
-80 marks source based questions
-20 mark Essay question.
Material:
-
Everything around Hitler, from his early life up until WW2. Includes concentration
camps, holocaust. (Entire first term syllabus)

The Cold War (Term two work)

Exam specifics will be relayed to pupils in class.
Grade 9 Life Orientation June Exam Requirements. Total marks 70 Marks
In Section A [25] and B [25] there will be short and long questions.
In Section C you do write 2 essays of 10 marks each. There are 3 choices but you
write only two essays.
The following units will be in the exam
• Sexual behaviour and sexual health:
-- Risk factors leading to unhealthy sexual behaviour
-- Unwanted results of unhealthy sexual behaviour:
teenage pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), HIV and AIDS, low selfimage and emotional scars
-- Factors that influence personal behaviour including family, friends, peers and community norms
-- Strategies to deal with unhealthy sexual behaviour: abstinence and change of behaviour
-- Protective factors, where to find help and support
-- Adverse consequences and implications of teenage pregnancy for teenage parent(s) and the children
born to teenagers
• Time-management skills: accountability in carrying out responsibilities
-- How to organise one’s work
-- How to use time effectively and efficiently
• Issues relating to citizens’ rights and responsibilities:
-- Respect for others’ rights: people living with different disabilities and HIV and AIDS (infected and
affected)
