Nick Balaskas Laboratory Technologist Physics and Astronomy I have been a proud member of the York family since 1973 as an undergraduate student, a post graduate research assistant and as a staff member. Some of you may remember me as the host of Cosmic Horizons at 89.9 FM Radio Glendon where many important issues affecting both students and staff alike were discussed. We have all worked to make this university the internationally respected institution that it is today. As your new representative on the Board of Governors I will be a strong and passionate voice on the issues that affect us all, including continuing to work with the Ontario Government on establishing a medical school here at York U. and an aerospace campus at nearby Downsview Park just a few subway stops away. Felim J. Greene Executive Officer Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies I would be honoured to serve on the Board of Governors as your non-academic employee representative. I have over 12 years of experience at York. I have just moved to the position of Executive Officer in the School of Continuing Studies after 5.5 years as the Executive Officer in the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies. I have also held the roles of Director Budgeting and Planning in central Finance, and Finance Officer in CSBO. I had an extensive and varied career in the private sector as well. I have an MBA from York and I am a Certified Management Accountant. I know York well. I believe that my background and experience would allow me to be an effective representative on the Board of Governors, representing the interests of all non-academic employees. I hope to receive your vote of confidence. . Lauren M. It isn’t just where we spend a portion of our days working hard. York University is our home. We care about its past, present, and future. We’re passionate about our current and prospective students, our alumni, our colleague -- the colleagues we see every day, those with whom we often cross paths on and off campus, and those we have not yet had the opportunity to meet. Representing our staff team, I’m committed to being your voice on York University’s Board of Governors -- to tactfully brainstorm ways to enhance the University now and for the years to come, to make decisions that benefit our community. Not just bringing your voice to the table, but raising it. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit about my passion for us and our home. Keep up the amazing work! I attended York University for both my undergraduate and law degrees.
