Dear Anderson Friends,
Welcome to our 19th Annual Spring Auction, A Taste of New York’s Best!
Anderson is a shining example of the best in New York City public school education. Our stellar
teachers, top notch administration and incredibly strong community of parents, friends and supporters
go above and beyond every single day, working together to help make Anderson a truly special place.
The funds we raise in our auction tonight are vital to ensure our kids will continue to have the support,
programs and tools they need to succeed. With your generous help, together, we can make a real
difference!
A million thanks to the over 75 dedicated parent volunteers who have spent several months and
countless hours planning this event, our restaurant and beverage sponsors providing tonight’s delicious
food and drinks, the parents and teachers who helped to create the extraordinary class projects, and
all of the businesses and parents who have contributed and solicited the exceptional array of donations
this year.
A huge thank you to Jamie Prince, who has dedicated herself wholeheartedly to the auction for many
years and has been integral to its growth and success. We will miss you! And to my family, David, Avery
& Carson — thank you for your love and support.
On behalf of the entire Auction Team, we invite you to eat, drink, shop, have fun — and most
importantly, bid wildly for our kids!
All the best,
Stacey Lender

THE FINE PRINT:
This auction is conducted by The Parents of PS334, Inc., (The Anderson PTA) solely for the benefit of PS334, The Anderson
School, in New York City. All items sold, raffled, given away, or otherwise conveyed as part of this Auction are the property
of the Parents of PS334, Inc., unless otherwise specified. Neither the Anderson School nor the PTA are responsible or liable
for this event.
Every reasonable effort has been made to describe each item correctly, but all items are sold “where is” and “as is” and
without warranty or representation of any kind as to the correctness of description, authenticity, conditions, or quality of
fitness for any purpose.
Unless otherwise specified, all Auction items must be redeemed from merchants within one year of this event. Where
applicable, dates and times are to be arranged at the mutual convenience of donor and buyer. Successful bidders who
have purchased services or vacation homes donated by Anderson parents should make preliminary
contact with the donor within four weeks of this event. Please take the opportunity to thank each
donor when using certificates. We rely on the goodwill of donors and merchants to make the auction a success each
year, and we will be soliciting from them again. If they have gained a new customer, they’re more likely to donate again.
By participating in this Auction, each bidder recognizes and agrees that the Parents of PS 334, Inc, the PTA and/or any person
assisting with the Auction shall not be liable for any occurrence resulting from the use of auctioned items and services.
It will be the responsibility of winning bidders to ensure that there is no damage done to private homes donated by friends
and parents of The Anderson School. Bidders must confirm dates with owners at least one month in advance.
Any item not bid to a satisfactory price may be withdrawn at the option of the Auctioneer.
Tax-Deductibility of Purchases: On your check-out receipt, estimated values will be printed, along with the price
paid. Items indicated as “Priceless” may (or may not) print with a value on your receipt, so please be aware that while some
“priceless experiences” are attached to some tangible value, others are not.
Bids made for the special $100 Live Auction Raffle — as well as prices paid for class projects — may be 100% taxdeductible. Check with your tax adviser.

So Many Ways to Win!
Live Auction
Our Live Auction will begin at approximately
8:45pm and will last for approximately one hour.
Bid numbers and paddles are required for the Live
Auction and will be obtained when you check in at
the Registration Table. Items will be auctioned in
the order listed in the catalog with class projects
interspersed at the discretion of the auctioneer.
Additional items to be auctioned may also be listed
in an addendum, presented to you at Check-In.
Boards
Don’t miss a visit to the Boards Room! On the
Boards, you will find discounts of 10–80%
off merchandise, services, gifts, lessons, passes,
restaurants, theater tickets, wine and more. There
is something for everyone at enticing prices!
To purchase a Board item, simply write your bidder
number and name on the card and drop it in the
nearby Boards Box to be processed immediately.
Do not remove the card from the room and take
it with you!
The highest bidder for any item shall be the
purchaser. He or she shall be responsible for
paying for and picking up their items at the end of
the event.
The Boards room will close mid-way through the
Live Auction, and it will not re-open. You may pick
up your items at Check-Out at the end of the
evening.
“Paddle Raiser”
Midway through the Live Auction, you will be given
an opportunity to raise your paddle and contribute
to support a specific cause. This is the highlight of
our Live Auction and an emotional moment not to
be missed. We hope you will participate.
Live Auction Raffle — win any item of
your choice for only $100!
Only 100 tickets at $100 each will be sold for the
Live Auction Raffle, which includes all Live Auction
items and class projects. The drawing will occur
just before the start of the Live Auction. You must
be present to win (unless prior arrangements
have been made with the auction committee) and
you must be prepared to select your Live Auction
package immediately, if your name is called as the
winner. Live Auction Raffle tickets are available on
a first-come, first-served basis prior to the Auction
and may not be available for purchase the night
of the Auction. A minimum of 75 tickets must be
sold for the raffle to take place. No more than
100 raffle tickets will be sold and entered in the
drawing.
Silent Auctions
The Silent Auctions open for bidding the moment
the doors open. Simply write your paddle number
and last name on the bid sheet to place a bid. You
will find all Silent Auction tables in the main room.
Some Silent Auction packages will have a
“Guaranteed Purchase Price” at the bottom of the
bid sheet. This means you can buy it without bidding.
If you see something that you simply MUST have,
sign your name and write your bidder number on
the Guaranteed Purchase Price line. This stops
the bidding, takes the item off the auction block,
and makes it yours! Announcements will be made
prior to the close of each Silent Auction section.

includes words and lyrics by U2’s Bono and The Edge. But wait ... Spidey senses are tingling. Is there
more to this package? Why, yes there is! You can find out the secrets of Spiderman that Doctor
Octopus and the Green Goblin would kill to know, when you also get a backstage tour to learn the
ins and outs of Broadway’s most ambitious, technically complex and expensive show ever.

Dear Stacey,
It has been such a pleasure working with you on this year’s
auction!
Anderson is so fortunate to have someone with your talents
and good nature running the auction this year (not to
mention your amazing contacts!). I hope your work inspires
and encourages other parents to be a generous with their time
in the years to come.
And to all the other incredible parents who solicited
donations, helped with entering, filing, envelope stuffing,
and provided camaraderie, all the jobs big and small that
contribute to our success — thank you! The best part of being
the auction registrar has been getting to know so many of the
parents in our community!
Sincerely,
Jamie Prince
