How has the public been allowed to partake in the preservation of the beauty and naturalism of Mahopac? Discussion A) How much access does the community allow the public to these parks? B) What restrictions should be placed on the community’s usage of these parks? C) Is it fair to place restrictions in places that are deemed public domain? Why or why not? As you examine each one, reflect on the following: 1) What seems to be the mission of Denali National Park and Preserve? 2) How do the mission statements reflect maintaining a balance between preservation and allowing the public access to the park? 3) What varying perspectives did the park offer to its public? Use the laptops to research and prepare a 2-3 minute speech from the perspective of the individual your group is assigned. This speech will be delivered before a Congressional Committee.
