2013 Banquet Program - Miami County Ohio Pheasants Forever
Welcome to our 13th Annual Banquet Miami County Ohio, Chapter 676 Welcome Phriends ! PF/QF is a national not-for-profit conservation organization dedicated to Wildlife habitat development and conservation education. 100% of the money raised here tonight (excluding membership fees) benefit the Miami County chapter. The money is used to fund local habitat projects and promote conservation education. Pheasants Forever is the most efficient conservation organization - bar none! 91% of every dollar raised by Pheasants Forever last year, was used to fulfill our mission of habitat development and conservation education. No other conservation organization is more efficient! This is our most important fund raiser and we are glad that you have decided to support us. This 100% volunteer group will continue to work hard to get as much habitat on the ground per dollar as we can. Thanks again for coming and we hope you have a good time. We already have many acres planned for next year. 7 A few thoughts from The Father of Modern Day Conservation: “To keep every cog and wheel is the first precaution of intelligent tinkering” “When land does well for its owner, and the owner does well by his or her land; when both end up better by reason of their partnership, we have conservation. When one or the other grows poorer, we do not.” "There are two spiritual dangers in not owning a farm. One is the danger of supposing that breakfast comes from the grocery, and the other that heat comes from the furnace." “Man cannot live by bread, or Fords, alone. Are we too poor in purse or spirit to apply some of it to keep the land pleasant to see, and good to live in?” - Aldo Leopold Please support MCPF, and the future of Miami County wildlife with your generous donations. Please help Miami County PF continue to grow our annual Youth Mentor Hunt and other youth oriented outdoor education programs. We will work to increase our support to local, state and national programs supporting tomorrows conservationists. Miami County Pheasants Forever is Chapter # 676 of PF National, our country’s most efficient Not for Profit, Wildlife Habitat Organization. Our Chapter has placed a copy of Leopold’s “A Sand County Almanac” in every high school and public library in the county! 8 www.miamicountypf.org
