GRO Fund I K/S invests a three-figure million DKK amount in Trifork
With one of Denmark’s largest pension providers, Danica Pension, as the investor, Gro Fund I has entered into an
agreement on the investment of a three-figure million DKK amount in the Danish-owned software company,
Trifork, which i.a. is responsible for Danske Bank’s MobilePay.
As a result of the investment, GRO Fund I now owns 20 % of the shares in Trifork. The fund is to help Trifork gain
access to the financial market and achieve stock exchange listing abroad. Although headquartered in Switzerland,
Trifork is a Danish-owned company with a number of subsidiaries in Europe. The transaction has been completed
under Danish law and is the first investment made by GRO Fund I since the fund was established at the end of 2014.
Bruun & Hjejle has been involved in all aspects of the transaction, including the due diligence, the analysis of the
company’s IPR management, the structuring of the investment and the co-investment of GRO’s management as well
as the preparation and negotiation of the documentation.
Trifork offers a number of consultancy services focused on the back-end part of software and app development. In
addition to MobilePay, Trifork is responsible for solutions to for example Credit Suisse, Danfoss and the Danish
Railways DSB. In 2014, Trifork’s turnover was DKK 307 million.
Bruun & Hjejle acted as legal adviser to GRO Fund I. The transaction emphasises Bruun & Hjejle’s focus on unlisted
investments in technology businesses.
