Dear researcher,
The Book a Researcher Secretariat hereby invites you to participate in Book a Researcher 2015. It gives you a
unique opportunity to promote your research and your research institution in alternative and relevant contexts.
Book a Researcher is a part of the Festival of Research (Forskningens Døgn) the 23-25th of April 2015. The
Festival of Research is organized annually by the Danish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Higher Education
and seeks to make current research from all fields accessible to ordinary people throughout Denmark.
Book a Researcher is easy and simple
Book a Researcher promotes dialogue between researchers and the general public. Researchers decide when
and where they are available and how many lectures they want to have in the catalogue. The duration of a
lecture is typically one hour. Possible transport costs are covered by the party booking the lecture or the
university, while the lecture itself is free of charge. Workplaces, associations, unions, libraries, public
institutions, schools, colleges etc. are welcome to book a lecture as long as they can muster an audience of at
least 15 interested listeners and provide the necessary equipment for the lecture. The researcher will give a
lecture on his or her field of expertise at a location agreed upon with the booking party.
In the past, the topics have ranged from climate change, cancer research and mercenaries to crime reports,
architecture and Danish short stories. Book a Researcher brings new perspectives to research institutions,
researchers and audiences alike.
Deadline for lecture registration: 20/2 2015 kl. 12.00
Booking period: 2/3 kl. 9.00 - 31/3 kl. 16.00
