Spot behandling (Clear-toner)
Ange tydligt Clear för att skriva ut endast i särskilt
utsedda områden.
Spot över ett fotografi - Jämnar ut totala glansen och
tillför djup till din bild.
Spot över en solid färg - Ökar djupet och övergripande
glans av den färgen eller, härmar en tonad lack effekt
genom att lägga Clear-toner över en ljus nyans.
Vattenstämpel - Grafik eller text tryckt med Clear-toner
med ingen färg eller bild.
Flood beläggning
Att ”översvämma” utskrivet ark är att täcka hela arket
med Clear-toner.
Ger en jämn glans och en slät enhetligt utseende över en
bild.
Förbättrar digital bildkvalitet med låg färgmängd.
Metallisk
Tryck Clear-toner över Pantone metalliska färger
simulerade i CMYK.
Ger en metallisk effekt, speciellt när de skrivs över lätta
nyanser av simulerade metalliska färger.
Vattenmärke
Använda Clear-toner är ett bra sätt att skriva ut
vattenstämplar på dina tryck, säkerhetstryck är ett bra
användningsområde.
Skapa Clear-toner i din InDesign-fil
Skapa ett nytt lager i lager och namnge det Clear.
Flytta Clear lagret högst upp.
Lägg till en ny färg i färgrutor och namnge det Clear.
Detta är
standard i vissa färgservrar och det är väldigt viktigt att
använda samma färgnamn över alla program som du
kan använda. Namnet är skiftlägeskänsligt, viktigt att det
skrivs exakt Clear.
Utse färgtyp som Spot/dekor.
Ställ Färgläge till CMYK: 0/100/0/0. Du kan välja någon av
de fyra processfärgerna och ställ in den på 100%.
Tilldela färgen Clear till fyllningar och linjer av text eller
figurer som skapats i InDesign och flytta dem till det
klara lagret.
För att skriva ut över en bild, text eller grafik, ställ in
övertryck så att den inte kommer att slå ut någon bild
nedan. Välj Fönster> Egenskaper> Övertrycksfyllning
och / eller stroke.
Grafik från Adobe Illustrator
Kopiera och klistra in grafik från Illustrator till InDesign.
Utse fyllningen och / eller linje att vara Clear.
Flytta alla Clear-inslag till Clear lagret.
Ställ alla Clear-inslag till övertryck.
Skapa effekter i Photoshop
Markera ett område i bilden med en mjuk kant och/
eller en övertoningsfyllning, lägg till en spot kanal för
Clear i Photoshop-filen. Spara den som en TIFF eller
PSD och placera den i InDesign på Clear lagret.
Skapa en spot kanal i Photoshop:
Skapa en ny bana eller välj en form.
Med din form vald, lägg till en ny spot kanal.
Namnge den nya platsen Clear, använd samma namn
som din Clear färg i InDesign.
Välj Color> M 100% eller samma färg som valts i
InDesign.
Välj % värde om så önskas.
Spara som PSD eller TIFF med dekorfärg ingår.
Placera i InDesign på Clear lagret.
VIKTIGT ATT TÄNKA PÅ!
När man trycker med Clear-toner så läggs 100% Cleartoner på ovan bilder med färgmängd upp till 160%
, därefter minskas Claer mängden med 1% / ökad
färgmängd.
Dvs när färgmängden i bilden är 260% läggs ingen
Clear-toner på.
Bilder till höger: exempel på hur man kan bygga upp
effekter med Clear toner, där färgmängden är hög
skapas ett tunnare eller ingen Clear ovanpå bilden.
Ljusa bilder med låg färg mängd ska användas om man
vill ha heltäckande Clear-toner tryck.

Simply applying a spot or flood of clear dry
ink over your image or page can have a
dramatic effect on your design.
Spot treatment
Specify clear dry ink to print only in
specifically designated areas.
• Spot over a photograph — Evens out
the overall sheen and adds depth to
your image.
• Spot over a solid color — Increases the
depth and overall sheen of that color.
Or, mimics a subtle tinted varnish effect
by adding clear dry ink over a light tint.
• Watermark — Graphics or text printed
with clear dry ink with no color or
image below.
Metallic
Print clear dry ink over Pantone metallic
colors simulated in CMYK.
• Produces a metallic effect, especially
when printed over light tints of simulated
metallic colors.
Watermark
Using clear dry ink is a great way to print
watermarks on your pieces.
• Provides notice for copyrighted
materials or adds a graphic element to
discourage copying of coupons or tickets.
Watermarks can repeat across the entire
page and are a nice way to add a soft
graphic element to your design to quietly
reinforce your message or evoke a mood.
Flood coating
Setting up your InDesign file
To “flood” your printed piece with clear
dry ink is to cover the whole sheet with it.
• Provides an even sheen and a smooth
consistent look across an image.
• Enhances digital image quality on
textured stock.
1. Add a new layer in the layers pallet and
name it Clear.
2. Move the clear layer to the top in the
layers pallet.
3. Add a new color in the swatches pallet
and name the swatch Clear. This is the
default in some color servers. It’s very
important to use the same swatch name
across all applications you might use.
The swatch name is case sensitive.
4. Designate the Color Type as Spot.
5. Set the Color Mode to CMYK: 0/100/0/0.
You can choose any of the 4 process
colors and set it to 100%.
6. Assign the color Clear to fills and strokes
of text or shapes created in InDesign and
move them to the clear layer.
7. To print clear over an image, text or
graphic, set it to overprint so it will
not knock out any image below. Select
Window > Attributes > Overprint Fill
and/or Stroke.

1. Copy and paste graphics from Illustrator

channel for clear to your Photoshop file.
Save it as a TIFF or PSD file and place it into
InDesign on the clear layer.

1. Create a new path or select a shape.
2. With your shape selected, add a new
spot channel.
a. Name the new spot channel, use the
same name as your clear ink swatch
in InDesign.
b. Select Color > M 100% or the same
color chosen in InDesign.
c. Select % value if desired.
3. Save as PSD or TIFF with spot color
included.
4. Place into InDesign on the clear layer.
