Viktig information som avser Duplicator i3

Information about your new Duplicator i3 3D printer.
Congratulations to your new printer. Before you start printing we want to inform you about a small
error that needs to be corrected. It is very easy and fast to do. Please read and follow the steps in this
document. You can also watch the YouTube video on how to do. Find link on www.3dprima.com
The red circle marks some cables. Two of the cables needs to be moved out about 2 cm. You can move
out all of the cables.
This are the two cables that you need to take out about 2 cm from the drag chain, otherwise they
wear out quickly.
How to fix the i3 drag chain issue?
All Duplicator i3 has a “crimp”, that’s the connection point between the stainless steel and the brass
cable, inside the drag chain. When the drag chain keeps moving it MAY cause the crimp to early
fatigue and in worst case break. This may then cause heating failure or in worst case, a short.
Solution:
Take the crimp and place it outside the drag chain so no matter how much the chain moves, the
crimp will not be effected.
Fixing the issue:
1. Twist the drag chain to pull it of
2. Push about 2 cm of cable into the drag chain so the crimp will end up outside the chain
closest to the extruder.
Hur skall problemet åtgärdas?
Alla i3 från Wanhao har en crimpkontakt som är övergången mellan den rostfria biten och
kopparkabeln. Denna ligger i nuvarande version inne i kabelkedjan. När kedjar rör sig så kan
denna bit utsättas för onödigt slitage och i värsta fall orsaka upphettningsproblem eller
kortslutning. Målet är alltså att flytta denna kontakt så att den ligger utanför kabelkedjan.
Lösning:
Att flytta denna kontakt så att den ligger utanför kabelkedjan. Detta gör att oavsett hur
mycket kabelkedjan rör sig så kommer detta inte innebära slitage på crimpen.
Åtgärd:
1. Vrid försiktigt på kabelkedjan för att lossa den.
2. För in ca 2 cm extra kabel i kedjan så att crimpen slutar utanför kedjan i den delen som
ligger närmast skrivarhuvudet.
