Företaget Neosense Technologies har nominerats av KTH för Academic Enterprise Award.
KTH Innovation har fått en möjlighet att nominera två bolag till 2015 Academic Enterprise Award
(ACES) och NeoSense är ett av dessa.
Neosense Technologies AB är ett innovativt start-up företag som levererar system för kontinuerlig
syreövervakning till intensivvårdsavdelningar. För mer information: http://neosen.se/
Nätverket ACES består av ansedda universitet (t.ex. Imperial College London, ESADE, University of
Cambridge) samt branschpartners och andra medlemmar. De utvalda vinnarna kommer att bjudas in
till Barcelona 19-20 November 2015 för att presentera sitt företag under en 3-minuters elevator
pitch. Det största värdet kommer att vara omfattande synlighet och stora möjligheter till
nätverkande med akademi och industriella nätverk. Det är framför allt en stor möjlighet och av stort
värde med avseende på intresse för framtida EU finansiering.

Elira Maksuti vann andra pris i kategorin bästa elevpresentationen vid International Tissue Elasticity
Conference i Verona. Priset bestod av bl a av en bok (Biosignal and Medical Image Processing,
Semmlow & Griffel) och förstås äran.
Invigning Jonasson centrum
I samband med invigningen av Jonassons centrum för medicinsk bildbehandling kommer ett

Forskargruppsbesöket
Vid forskargruppsbesök i förra veckan av delar av rektorsgruppen (rektor var med hela
eftermiddagen) hölls utomordentliga presentationer av alla inblandade. Det vore kul om det kunde
återupprepas internt för att ge alla en inblick i delar av den intressanta verksamheten vi har på STH.
Ett förslag som har kommit upp är att ordna något innan julbordet i år.
Nationell Hearing om Högspecialiserad Laboratoriemedicin
Sverige har unika förutsättningar för att bidra till effektivare utveckling av laboratoriemedicinsk
diagnostik med våra heltäckande hälsodataregister, biobanker och högspecialiserade molekylära
analystekniker. Snabbare och säkrare laboratoriemedicinsk diagnostik har möjlighet att åstadkomma
en effektivare och mer patientsäker vård. För att främja denna utveckling anordnas en dialog mellan
patienter, experter och företrädare för de olika organisationer som samverkar för att uppnå detta
mål.

Tissue Elasticity Conference in Verona. The prize included a book (Biosignal and Medical Image

Research Team Visit
At the research team visit last week by portions of the President’s Group (our President was present the whole afternoon) excellent presentations were held by those involved. It would be great if it
could be repeated internally to give everyone a glimpse into parts of the interesting activities we
have at STH. One suggestion that has come up is to arrange something in connection with the
Christmas dinner this year.
National Hearing on Highly Specialized Laboratory Medicine
Sweden has unique opportunities to contribute to efficient development of laboratory medical
diagnostics with our comprehensive health data registries, biobanks and highly specialized molecular
analysis techniques. Faster and more secure laboratory medical diagnostics are able to achieve a
more efficient and safe patient care. In order to foster this development a dialogue between
patients, experts and representatives of the various organizations that work together to achieve this
goal will be organized.
