The Camp Jefferson Bus will transport children TO Camp Jefferson Summer Day Camp in the
morning. Parents MUST wait with their children until they are safely boarded by one of the staff
members. ALL children enrolled in Camp must be picked up from Camp Jefferson at the end of
their day, as no busing is available.

SUMMER DAY CAMP
Pre-schoolers 3 and 4 Year olds . Kindergarten to 6th graders at Camp Jefferson
Camp Jefferson Summer Day Camp is proudly offering its 8th season of Camp! The staff continually strives to offer new activities to the Camp program while still providing campers with enjoyable games and interesting
trips and events. This year, there will be Fun Food Mondays and Wednesdays in addition to the favorite Fun Food Fridays! If that’s not enough food offerings, Chow-Down Thursdays will continue this year!
Camp Jefferson provides campers with a safe and natural environment on site while offering off-site programming that is
both challenging and stimulating. It’s colorful state-of-the-art playground and open fields provide activities for kids of all ages.

TEEN CAMP - 7th and 8th graders at Camp Jefferson
Camp Jefferson Summer Day Camp offers an enhanced program for boys and girls entering 7th and 8th grades in September 2011. Counselors emphasize activities for the older campers, which will include sports, crafts, and
various other age appropriate fun things to do. Optional off-site teen-only trips plus the all-camper special trips noted below (all incur additional admission/busing fees unless noted) are part of their experience.
Teen Camp will run on the same schedule as the Day Camp and at the same 5–day/3-day fees.
Morning transportation, before and after care, and electives are available at an additional cost.

Recreation Department at 973-663-8404 for a registration package to be mailed
to you or stop by either the Jefferson Township Municipal Building’s, the Jefferson
Township Public Library’s, or the Recreation Department at Camp Jefferson’s
lobby display racks to pick one up. Registration forms can also be downloaded
from www.jeffersontownship.net (“Residents” tab, “Forms Center”, “Recreation Department”)
The counselors at Camp Jefferson Summer Day Camp treat each child with patience, understanding, enthusiasm, and
attention. The staff encourages self-esteem, cooperation, responsibility, and courage while demonstrating
appreciation and respect for all races, cultures, religions, and abilities. The Junior Counselors, Senior Counselors, Head
Counselors, and Specialists are supervised by two adult Co-Directors in addition to the Director of the Jefferson
Township Recreation Department – all of whom are experienced in working with children. The goal of the entire staff
is to provide a positive camp experience for every child.
FACILITIES
Camp Jefferson consists of 96 acres of open space and boasts a spring-fed lake for catch-and-release fishing and
boating, outdoor sports facilities, an amphitheatre, a skate park, a picnic pavilion, a movie theater, numerous cabins
for free play, a TV studio, a main community lodge, a recreation hall, and basketball courts. Children must bring their
own lunch and beverage in an insulated bag with an ice pack, or they have the option to order and pre-pay for camp
lunches. A morning and afternoon snack will be provided, and cold water is always available throughout the site.
