goods. We are able to accommodate vessels of up to approximately 50,000 DWT.
The catchment area for Lysport extends throughout Sweden

Western Europe, the Mediterranean and North Africa.

A high-class logistics centre
Lysport offers great logistical solutions. For storage of goods,
such as construction materials, tiles and wood pulp, we have
25,000 m2 in warehouses. We have one temperature-regulated
warehouse, which allows us to store goods that are sensitive to
changes in temperature. The warehouses has been expanded
on an ongoing basis, and should the demand for space increase,
there is capacity to expand this area further.

Combines shipping, intermediary storage,
and onward transportation
Lysport is the perfect place to begin for companies looking for
cost-effective logisitic solutions. Short approaches, railway
tracks to all quays, and a distance of only 30 km to the interstate
highway E6, makes our conditions unique. With warehouses
inside the port, our customers also avoid the expense of intermediary storage.
In our port, the distance between quay and warehouse is short,
allowing rapid management and high productivity. It also means
that cargo operation will be less susceptible to poor weather.
There is plenty of space for trucks, forklifts and cranes. Loading
and offloading is handled by Lysports own staff. Quality and
safety are keys in these areas. The quality policy that we express
is to get it right from the start, and to keep our promises.

The port has five cranes with a capacity of up to 80 tonnes. At
our disposal, we also have more than 20 forklifts, as well
as terminal tractors and other specialised equipment. These
resources, combined with our staff’s knowledge and commitment, allow us to manage all types of project cargoes. This task
includes a lot of planning, in which high demands will be placed
on our organisational abilities. With our extensive experience,

Logistic solutions
within wave power
Seabased AB is constructing Sweden’s first commercial wave
power plant, situated in the sea, to the northwest of
Kungshamn. The wave power plant is being constructed in
Lysekil and then transported by supply vessels. We are assisting
Seabased with logistical solutions, from factory to launch. A
project of this kind requires special resources, both in terms of
machinery and expertise. Therefore, we are proud to have been
chosen by Seabased.

Bulk management and
sawn timber
Lysport has the capacity to manage 750,000 tonnes of cargo per
year. Our aim is a quick and smooth cargo operation.
Bulk goods are dominated by imports of chalk and talc, which
are offloaded directly to the manufacturing plant located in the
port. The chalk and talc is used to produce slurry, which is sold
to various companies within the paper industry.
Sawn timber comes from a number of various sawmills in
Sweden and Norway. The products are then sent on to customers in France, Spain and North Africa. We are well-equipped in
this area as we have, for example, self-unloaders and
knuckle-boom cranes, for efficient handling.
