banqueting suites make the Parkway Hotel ideally suited for

Holding your Wedding Service at the Parkway Hotel
We are delighted to announce that The Parkway Hotel has been granted a ‘Civil Marriage Licence’
Room Hire Charge for Ceremony only £350.00
Room Hire Charge with Reception at Hotel £250.00
A deposit of £100.00 is required to reserve the room
Top Table Flowers Included
Should you decide to hold your ceremony at the Hotel, you must contact the Registrar at Pontypool Registry Office to make the
necessary arrangements to attend the service. Their telephone number is 01495 742132. This is not the responsibility of the Hotel.
Approved Venue of Marriages in Pursuance of Section 26(1)(bb) of the Marriage Act 1949 and
the Marriages (Approved Premises) Regulations 1995
Facilities
Hotel & Grounds
Situated in 7 1/2 acres of lawns, the hotel is perfect for all your photography
requirements. For winter Weddings our real log fire is just as popular.
The Pembroke Suite
Our air-conditioned Pembroke Suite will seat up to 120 guests, but will allow a
variety of options for smaller numbers.
The Wentwood Suite
The Wentwood Suite will seat up to 100 guests. This suite is also fully
air-conditioned.
Suites 1 & 2
Set overlooking landscaped patio gardens, this air-conditioned private suite is
ideal for up to 60 guests and is also licensed for Wedding Ceremonies.
Suite 3
Ideal for the smaller more intimate Wedding Breakfast, accommodating up to 30
guests and also licensed for Wedding Ceremonies.
The Monmouth Suite
Ideal for the intimate Wedding Breakfast, accommodating up to 20 guests
and again is licensed for Wedding Ceremonies.
The Crystal Suite
Should you wish to continue your celebrations into the evening, we can offer the
Pembroke Suite for a buffet of up to 200 guests and the Wentwood Suite for up
to 125 guests. Both suites have the advantage of their own dance floors and private
bar facilities. The Crystal Suite can be opened up for large weddings for over 120
daytime guests and evening parties of between 200 and 325 guests.
Accommodation
Why not take advantage of our special overnight accommodation rates for your
wedding guests? The Parkway Hotel can offer 70 standard and executive bedrooms
and suites each with en-suite bathroom, remote control colour television, trouser
press, hairdryer, direct dial telephone and Tea/Coffee making facilities. Why not
treat yourselves to a night in our Bridal Suite for a small supplement?
We will happily supply you with a number of hotel brochures for you to send out
with your invitations to assist your guests in booking direct with the hotel.
Leisure Facilities
All resident wedding guests can enjoy full use of our leisure complex, the Colonial
Club. This includes use of our heated indoor pool, sauna, steam room, spa bath,
solarium and fully equipped gymnasium as well as private sunbathing area.

Should you be marrying abroad or just wish to hold an evening only event, please
ask for our ‘Evening Wedding Reception’ brochure.

Booking Information
All prices quoted are subject to increases in VAT.
We would kindly request written confirmation and a non-refundable deposit of £750.00 to secure your reservation. 50% of the balance will be
required 4 months prior to your wedding and the remainder of the balance 1 month prior.
In the event of cancellation the following charges will apply:

deposit refunded if room re-sold for similar numbers
6 months notice
deposit retained by hotel
4 months notice
50% of anticipated charges
2 months notice
60% of anticipated charges
2 - 6 weeks notice
80% of anticipated charges
14 days notice
90% of anticipated charges
7 days notice
Full payment of anticipated charges
Final numbers of guests attending must be given 72 hours before the Wedding. These numbers will form the basis on which the minimum
charge will be calculated. Extra numbers will be charged at a pro-rata basis.
If the number of guests attending reduces from the original booking, the Hotel reserves the right to move the event to an alternative room.
No food or beverages of any kind are permitted to be brought into the Hotel by the client or guests without consent given by the Hotel in writing,
this includes any alcoholic miniatures or welsh cakes etc. Any such consent will involve an additional charge. The only exception is for wedding
cakes.
All guests attending functions must be paid for in full. This includes all additional evening guests and is a requirement of the late bar license.
The Hotel shall not be liable for any failure to provide facilities contracted for in the event of its being prevented from doing so as a result of
fire, storm, flood, disturbances, riot, industrial action or any other causes beyond its control.
