Muslim marriage as in other belief is a blessed institution. It is a moral agreement binding
between a Muslim woman and Muslim man. These marriages are performed as per to the
Islamic Shariah laws. Islamic marriage is normally arranged marriages. The marriage proposal
is made by parents of the girl to the guy and when with the approval from both the sides the
engagement ceremony is made that is further followed by the wedding. This marriage is
celebrated by a priest that takes the approval of both the groom and the bride for the marriage.
The consent of groom and the bride is followed by marriage proposal signing by the groom, the
bride and the witnesses. The holy book or Koran is placed between them and they are prepared
to see each other throughout a mirror. The ceremony of Islamic marriage is enjoyed with the
sharing of sweets and dates and with a striking feast. In this marriage premarital closeness is
strictly not allowed. As per to the Islam religion a Muslim marriage is the base upon that an
Islamic culture is built.
Muslim wedding is distinguished by offering of the gift by a Muslim man to their spouse. The
major reason is to defend the financial status of the Muslim female in case of any happenings.
The mahr or the dowry can be paid after or before the marriage and with the letdown of the
dowry payment the Muslima becomes cancel. The marriages persist on the spouse supporting
their partner financially and thus it is the responsibility of the husband to protect and support
their wife. The rules of Muslim marriage even persist that the husband must confirm that both
his children and wife have access to the holy Islamic materials.
The dissimilarity between other religion and Islam is the polygamy practice, the Muslim men
are permitted to marry more than one wife as long as he can protect and support them.
However, Muslim women are not permitted to marry more than just one man. The Islam
religion doesn’t allow homosexuality. It permits the Zawaj of a Muslim man to a Christian or
Jewish woman. Though the law of Islam allows the marriage of Jewish or a Christian woman to
a Muslim male it doesn’t allow them to have the legacy of their wife unless it is awarded by the
Muslim man on their Christian or Jewish spouses.
Religion of Islam lays down austere marriage regulations as Islamic Zawaj and family are the
making blocks of Islamic culture. The ethical agreement between the wife and husband in
Islam is bound by certain terms and conditions. Islam unmistakably defines the responsibility of
a husband in a family and that of duty of a wife. It is the perfect family life that would form the
foundation of well off springs. This further would direct to the development of a strong Islamic
