What causes post surgery pain?
The true cause of pain from having an extraction comes from developing a common condition known as
“dry socket.” When a tooth is removed, an empty socket or hole, is left. A blood clot is typically formed
to prevent the nerve from being exposed to air and elements. If the clot is dislodged, the nerve is
exposed to everything from the air you breathe to the food you eat resulting in pain. At MyDental we
