Since time immemorial, it has been a tradition to invoke the blessings of the Almighty for the success
of an event. To do the same, the honourable Chief Guest and the Principal Mr.B S Yadav were

formally invited to light the lamp. The distinguished guests were extended a floral welcome. It was a
proud privilege to have Ms. Sharanya Chandran, a renowned Bharatnatyam dancer from New Delhi, daughter and
disciple of Padamshree Geeta Chandran as the Chief Guest of the occasion.
The other distinguished guests for the occasion were Mr. A.S. Bhandari and Mr. U.R. Daga, Members Managing Committee, Delhi Public School, Pal Bypass Road Jodhpur. The judges for the event were Ms. Pratibha Kocher, a wellknown theatre artist, Guru Manjusha Saxena, an eminent Bharatnatyam dancer and Mr. Sagar Sangtani, an eminent
personality in the field of Performing Arts, all the three hailing from Jodhpur. The gathering was made to feel special with
a welcome dance performance ”Padharo Mahre Desh” performed by the students of Delhi Public School Jodhpur. It was
an endeavour to welcome the guests in traditional Rajasthani style. This dance performance mesmerised the audience
suggesting that dance is an inseparable part of our cultural heritage.
The competition commenced with the introduction of the participating teams of different states and rules of the
competition followed by the performances. This dance festival was the testimony of the fact that dance is one such
performing art which unites the body and the soul. As the teams performed on the given theme, they gave an impression
of perfection, expression, passion and excitement in each and every movement they showcased.
It also indicated that dance is the best way to express one’s feelings. If we go by the mythological significance of this
performing art, it was a way to worship God. With the passage of time various dance forms have evolved holding their
ethnic essence and purity. The dance depictions of the various participating teams were so lifelike that it transported the
audience to a different stage, far away from the mundane world, into the world of joy of the school days. It actually
brought alive a child and a student in all of those who witnessed it.

After the magnanimous display of talent by the participating
teams, the honourable Chief Guest enlightened the audience
with a recital of Saraswati Vandana, explaining the gathering, its literal meaning. Elaborating the abbreviation ‘DPS’ as
Dream, Persevere and Sensitize, she suggested the gathering to stop for a moment in this hustle and
bustle and introspect their conduct. Any competition would be incomplete
without the
presence of the judges from the specialised
fields, thus they were invited for their valuable advice. The
honourable Judge Guru Manjusha Saxena appreciated the
performances and stated that it was a perfect depiction of
school life. She
endorsed to keep the essence of classical
dance alive in our culture. Ms Pratibha Kocher the next judge
advised the students to be enthusiastic and passionate about
everything they d Mr.Sagar Sangtani suggested the participating teams to move ahead with same fervour even if they don’t win the competition. The Principal Mr.B.S Yadav presented mementoes to the Chief Guest and revered judges as a token of gratitude. Having performed to the best of their
capabilities, all the teams eagerly awaited the announcement of the results and to do the honour the Chief Guest Ms.
Sharanya Chandran, the Principal Mr. B S Yadav and the judges were invited on the stage. To begin with the Appreciation Awards, Best horeography award was bagged by DPS Bhopal Neelbad, Best Synchronisation and

Jaipur and the Judges Critical Acclaim by DPS Pal By Pass Road Jodhpur. The Third Position was bagged by DPS Bhopal Neelbad, Second position went to DPS Navi Mumbai and the Winner of the competition was DPS Pal By Pass Road
Jodhpur. The Principal, Ms. B S Yadav addressed the gathering by expressing his views about the event and congratulated the winning team. Vote of thanks was given by Ms. Anita Rajpurohit HOD, Dance Department. The
gathering
rose for the National Anthem and the event culminated with the winning teams enthused with utmost zeal to participate
at the National level to be held at Greater Noida on 5th December, 2014.The event left a deep imprint on our hearts and
souls.
TRAINING THE TRAINER
Language Lab in DPS Jodhpur was inaugurated by the honourable Pro Vice
Chairman Mr. Dinesh Chandra Kothari, in the month of August 2014. On 6th and
7th September, 2014, a special training session was organized in the Language
Lab itself, to train the language teachers in handling the Lab and its software. The
Resource Person Mr. Richard George-Teachers' Trainer from Words Worth Language Lab gave a walk through on how to operate and deliver this course.
The session on 6th started with a discussion on the need of English Language,
how to inculcate good language skills and the influence of native language on
English pronunciation. Pronunciation pattern and their reasons were discussed
and queries were solved. The Resource Person also told about breakage of syllables for correct pronunciation. The first day session ended with some activities
based on correct usage of punctuation marks and communicative skills.
The second day session initiated with the practical training of using the software. The trainer informed the trainees about how
to navigate through the modules and ILT and CBT usages. The trainer gave minute details of the software i.e. how to log in
and how to create username password. He trained the teachers to create and assign practice session for students through
teacher manual and also told how to check the papers and prepare reports.
After a short break of 15 minutes, the session continued with the training of ASL. The Resource Person told how the Words
Worth software can come handy to conduct ASL Listening and Speaking skill test. For Example- it can help in recording the
audio session of Speaking skill test. This software proved wonderful for Senior Secondary teachers as it gives the facility to
conduct nearly twenty sessions of speaking test at a time. This can help in saving ample much of time. A mock drill of
Speaking skill was conducted for the teachers which cleared all myths and confusions regarding ASL and Language Labs. The
wonderful training session concluded with a quick summary of the two days content, which was provided by Mr. Richard

JIGYASA — SOCIAL SCIENCE WEEK
“The science of understanding people’s needs and their unique relationship with art, literature, history, music, work,
philosophy, community, technology and psychology is Social Science.” - Clement Mok
‘Jigyasa’ the Social Science week of DPS Jodhpur witnessed a grand opening
on 29th August 2014. The programme scheduled for the opening ceremony
had theme of ‘Women Empowerment’. The Chief Guest of the occasion was
Mr. Ajay Singh Tanwar. Mr.Tanwar holds the post of DCIO, Intelligence
Bureau, Jodhpur. He belongs to Jhunjhunu and is an alumni of Sainik School,
Chittorgarh. He did his B. Sc. in 1989, from JNVU, LLB in 1992, DSLL in 1993,
DSLL Ph. D in Labour Law, Labour Welfare and Personal Management. The
function started with a floral welcome of the Chief Guest and lighting of the
auspicious lamp to seek the blessings of the god almighty and hence the week
was declared open.
The week initiated with the welcome speech by Mr. Pradeep Purohit. He gave
a brief insight of the week and highlighted the different socio economic
development of India. Neerav of class X, gave an informative speech on the
topic “Development of India’. The speech was followed by a soothing song
describing the importance of women and her sacrifices, by the girls of class XII. The students of class XI staged an
emotionally charged play focusing on the role of women in the society. The play compared the situation of women in
1960’s and in today’s time.
It threw light on her multi tasking and never tiring character. The play was highly applauded by the audience. This was
followed with a marvellous classical dance performed by the school students.
The Chief Guest Mr.Ajay Singh Tanwar appreciated the hard work and creativity of the students and congratulated them
for the successful event. He discussed the importance of Social Science because it helps to develop a child’s
personality. The Principal Mr. B.S. Yadav addressed the gathering and discussed the role of CCA and its importance in
developing and framing a child’s personality. He appreciated the students of the English Play and said that a lot more is
to be done for women upliftment. At last the Social Science exhibition was inaugurated by the Chief Guest. He whole
heartedly appreciated the creativity of the students.
The festival of Social Science week ie “JIGYASA” which was a weeklong series of events, in DPS Jodhpur, culminated
on 04th September, 2014. The students and teachers celebrated it with lot of fervor. The closing ceremony of ‘JIGYASA’
started with the welcome of the Chief Guest Mr.S.KTak , Principal Sec. law and Parliamentary affair, Government of Rajasthan. He was welcomed with the fragrance of flowers and lots of honour. The function kick started with a report of
the whole week events, which was presented by Ms. Sunila Choudhary. She praised the efforts of the students and offered an insight of the wonderful assembly on 2nd and a sporty quiz based on social, economical and political knowledge, which was conducted on 3rd.The function started with a mesmerizing song by the students “mere desh ki dharti”
which gave a touch of patriotism to the event. The mood of celebration continued with a fusion dance number.
It was followed by an informative and entertaining skit on land reforms of India depicting various phases of land reforms
and role of landlords. The personality ramp show “The Walks of Life-the Ramp” was the star attraction as it was based
on the life of famous personalities, for example- Dr. Amartya Sen, Ms. Chanda Kocher, Mr. Amithabh Bachchan,
Ms. Mary Com, etc. The show presented the real life heroes of specialized fields which were loved by the students. The
Chief Guest Mr.S.D.Tak praised the programme and the theme. He suggested the students to be aware about consumer
courts and their benefits.
The Principal Mr. B. S. Yadav congratulated the Social Science Department and the students for their hard work and
wonderful programme throughout the week.
At the end, Head of the Department Mr. Rajesh Mishra thanked everyone for the success of the week. He praised the
efforts of the students for the Exhibition, skits, poem, songs and other presentations. The social science week came to
an end with Food exhibition where students exhibited various Indian cuisines.
Character is a diamond that scratches every other stone.
A Day Dedicated to Teachers - “TEACHER’S DAY”

“A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination and
instill love and learning.” - Brad Henry,
Teachers are the only fraternity, who raise the children with same love and
dedication as equivalent to their parents.
A replica of same love was seen by the teachers of DPS Jodhpur
when students organized a sweet function on the occasion of Teacher’s Day.
The day started with lighting the holy lamp and an obeisance to Dr. Sarvapalli
Radhakrishnan. The function of the day started with Morning Prayer. By
narrating the incidents, teachings and examples from the life of Dr
Radhakrishnan, the students’ connected the present with the rich past. The
choir group which comprised of class XII students sang a few songs in honour
of the teachers. Some light moments were shared by the teachers, when they
suggested some suitable professions to their colleagues. Teachers answered
a few witty questions of the students. After this, the students interchanged their jobs for a day and class XII students’ took
responsibility of teaching, which was an enriching experience for them. The Principal Mr. B.S. Yadav blessed the students and
told them to respect their teachers for their sheer hard work and dedication.
A special session was organized in the school campus between 3:00 pm to 4:45 pm to view the satellite transmission of
honourable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s interaction and question answer session with the students. It was witnessed
and appreciated by the students and teachers alike. The day’s celebration ended with a sumptuous dinner which was organized in the school campus in honour of the teachers. As a token of reverence, the teachers’ were presented a book entitled“Power to grow beyond yourself” by Robert A Schuller. This was given jointly by the Pro Vice Chairman Mr D C Kothari and the
Principal Mr. B. S. Yadav.
DPS Jodhpur Promotes - “BEING DIGITAL”
10th September was ceremonialized as “Computer Day” in DPS Jodhpur. The day
was dedicated to computers and was titled as “Being Digital”. The event started at
10.30 am with a song presented by techno savvy group of students titled as “It’s
my life.” The peppy number was followed by a presentation on “Hacking” by Aashish Garg and Neetesh Singh Bhati of class 11th. The presentation refurbished the
audience with
reasons and other uncommon data of hacking. Then a play was
staged, which advised the students and teachers about the state of affairs of being
too much addicted to gadgets and gizmos. The second presentation was about
“Artificial Intelligence” by Pranav Garg and Pragya Chandak of class 12th. Their
presentation dealt with the idea of robots and their survival like humans. A foot tapping robotic dance was performed by the boys. A quiz and poster making activity
was also organized for Students of Classes V to VIII.
HOD Computer Science Mrs. Jyoti Mathur discussed the nitty gritty of technology and its pros and cons. She
also presented vote of thanks to Principal Sir for giving a platform to the young and innovative talents and to the students for their zealous participation. The Principal Mr. B.S. Yadav addressed the students and discussed disadvantages
of the overuse of cell phones, I pods, etc. and advised the students not to exploit this facility of technology. The hard
work and zeal of students was appreciated by the Principal Mr. B.S. Yadav and Head Mistress Mrs. Sangeeta Yadav.

their surroundings clean. He emphasised the importance of clean surroundings and
galvanized every one. The Principal, the Head Mistresses, the staff and the students took an oath to join the catapult and
give at least 100 hrs in a year to keep their surroundings clean.

Later on, different areas of the school campus were distributed to different groups of staff
and students and they were asked to clean them as much as possible. Students were
given the lawn and science park area, the Principal and the Head Mistresses cleaned the
area near the Laboratory Block, the senior wing staff cleaned the area near the senior
wing building, the middle wing staff cleaned the area near the middle wing building, the
junior wing staff cleaned the area near the junior wing building and the cleaning staff
cleaned the space near the school gate. It was overwhelming to see the enthusiasm
when the broom brigaworked hard for two hours and took high interest in cleaning the
school campus. Next target was the respective offices and staff rooms and kitchens.
Teaching staff cleaned their tables, cupboards, staff room fans, shelves, windows and kitchen and slabs.
Meanwhile some teachers and the Principal went to Pal village near the school campus and did Shramdaan to
clean the areas near the two temples of the village. The Principal Mr. B.S.Yadav ushered the shop keepers nearby to
keep the surroundings clean and told its worth and the teachers cleaned the streets of the village and surrounding.
After being well pleased with their contribution to the cleanliness drive Principal acknowledged the teachers for the
commendable initiation of the drive. He felt happy that he and his staff had toiled for the PM’s campaign. He
remembered Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri for their contributions to keep our country clean. He also told
students and staff to wash their hands nicely after the drive. The teachers promised the Principal to devote at least one
hour in a week to clean their school circumambience. With this promise they called it a day.
Workshop on “PHONEMIKS”
An enriching and a learning workshop on phonemiks was held on 27th September 2014 in the Conference hall of
Delhi Public School, Jodhpur. Mr. Anil Chugh and Mr. Naveen Kalla were the resource persons for the same. The workshop was a recapitulation for phonetic transcription and the right pronunciation. It was a pronunciation drill along with
identification of the sound symbols. The workshop discussed the 44 sounds in an elaborate way, focusing on the 9
voiceless sounds and the rest 35 voiced sounds. It was more of a learning by doing session wherein the teachers were
the students. It was an interactive and learning workshop . Basic rules for identifying each sound were discussed with
various examples by the resource person and then some examples from the teachers. The workshop was made interesting by involving individual teachers to participate and know each sound symbol more effectively.
A book on the course of English Pronunciation by Mr. Anil Chugh and Mr. Naveen Kalla was also launched by
the Honourable Principal Sir . The book is an insight into the world of basic rules for correct pronunciation and sound
symbols which is printed with pictures and easy to understand examples.
“NATIONAL NUTRITION WEEK” - 2014 ”
The Nutrition Week was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm in Delhi Public
School, Jodhpur. With the sole purpose of spreading the message of healthy eating
habits among the students. There were various fun-filled and learning activities related
to the value and importance of eating healthy and nutritious food. Celebrating the
week, there was a ‘Healthy Sandwich Making Activity’ for the students of classes IV
and V. The students were there with all the required ingredients and prepared their
nutritious sandwiches with great dedication and perfection. They enjoyed every bit of
the activity.
There was another ‘Young Budding Chef
Competition’ for the students of classes VII and
VIII. This competition was held in two rounds, the 'Grand-Finale' was held on 16th
September 2014. The competition began with a special assembly focusing mainly on the
need to eat healthy and right, followed by the introduction of the ten finalists. An enlightening article was presented highlighting the importance of healthy and nutritious food.
Fashion walk by the students of class V with the thoughtful message of ‘Eating Right’
enthralled the audience.
The esteemed guests for 'Grand Finale'
were Dr. Anurag Singh, MD (Paediatrics)
Superintendent of Ummaid Hospital and Dr. Renu Makwana, a renowned doctor
at Vasundhra Hospital. The participants very enthusiastically prepared their
recipe and on the basis of the taste , nutritional value and a viva , they were
marked. With creative and mind blowing ideas they put forth their preparations,
which the guests tasted and relished greatly. The variety of dishes prepared included – Italian Salad, Santa-Banta Salad, Bread Dahi Wada, Veggie Spirals,
Red and White Dip, Healthy Layered Sandwich and many more to list. Both the
esteemed guests addressed the students about their daily lifestyle and eating
habits. They highlighted the need to stay healthy and discussed some of the
common diseases in kids. Dr. Anurag discussed about a very commonly spreading disease , obesity , which is slowly and slowly taking over the youth. He talked
about the causes and problems of this fast growing monster. Mrs. Renu Ma'am talked about the vital need of regular exercising
and playing along with a balanced nutritional diet. Both the guests reiterated on the need to bring some changes in the daily
eating habits and include more healthy, home made and body building foods. Headmistress also encouraged the students to
develop healthy eating habits and remain fit and active. Overall the week was celebrated with a promise by the students to inculcate right and healthy eating habits.
“DIWALI CELEBRATION”
Diwali is a festival filled with joy and happiness. The students of class IV of
Delhi Public School,Jodhpur (Middle block) celebrated Diwali by displaying
various acts from Ramayan in the form of 'Ramlila'. It was wonderfully
performed and greatly applauded by the audience. It was followed by the
'Laxmi Pooja'. The Principal and the Headmistresses were present on the
occasion.
Ladoo making activity was held in class 4 on the auspicious festive season
of Diwali. Students participated enthusiastically and enjoyed making
Ladoos by themselves. They decorated these Ladoos by raisins and other
dry fruits. They enjoyed then eating and sharing these Ladoos.
“GANDHI JAYANTI”
The most eminent personality, ‘Father of our Nation’ Mahatma Gandhi was remembered on the auspicious day of his birthday. The students of class V of
Delhi Public School, Jodhpur (Middle Block) commemorated this day by presenting a wonderful assembly. The students presented a wonderful poem and a
dance on the foot tapping song of
‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’. The
choir sung melodious songs –‘De di
Humme Azadi Bina........’ and ‘Bande
me tha Dam .......’. Also, an enlightening
play depicting the incidents of Mahatma
Gandhi’s life, was enacted.
There was an interactive session on the great leader. The Headmistress blessed
the students and appreciated their efforts for conducting a marvellous assembly.
She also highlighted on the principles followed by Gandhiji. The assembly culminated with an Oath taken by the students to keep their surroundings clean.
STRESS MANAGEMENT SESSION FOR THE ADOLESCENTS
There was an interactive and enlightening session for the students of class VIII held in the auditorium of Delhi Public School, Jodhpur on 12 September 2014. Mrs. Reena Bhansali, a well-known psychologist and counselor was
there to have a word with the young and the energetic gathering. She was there to discuss the various physical and
the mental changes that take place in an individual's life during teenage. Her main focus was on the effective measures to be taken to manage time and stress, handle peer pressure, avoid bad company and be career oriented with
a positive goal to achieve in life. The session basically focused on the various problems which the youth face in
day to day life. The students were free to put up their queries and find the right way out, through them. It was a session wherein the students of class VIII very openly talked about some of the very difficult situations in their life, how
to cope with those situations and try to be calm and composed. It was a two way communication between the
counselor and the students.
She advised the students to develop a positive approach towards all the changes taking place in and
around them. The session acted as a vent for the youth, leaving them relaxed and comfortable with the variety of
changes taking place with them. Overall the session proved to be a solution to all the anxiety , excitement and the
doubts going on in the curious and the eager minds , in a very friendly way!!!

“IN A HEALTHY BODY LIVES A HEALTHY MIND”
‘Fun and Food Week’ was celebrated in the pre-primary classes from 1st of
September to 5th of September 2014.This event began with an election
campaign where two candidates- Healthy Ram and Junkulal tried to influence
the ‘little voters’ with their speeches and
arguments. To communicate the
message effectively, they displayed their eating preferences in front of the kids.
The next phase was implementing ‘Healthy Diet Chart’ where the parents were
asked to follow the menu given in the chart. The response was very positive
and encouraging. Friday i.e. 5th of September 2014 was the polling day. The
children as expected were convinced by Healthy Ram and whole heartedly
voted for him. Owing to his defeat Jankulal too got convinced by the idea of
healthy eating habits.
STORY TELLING
An assembly was conducted for the tiny audience of classes Nursery and Prep on 3rd September 2014 in the
Primary Block. A story “The Bird and the Ant” was presented in front of them through the medium of finger puppets. The
enactment engaged and intrigued the children, the message ‘Friendship’ was thus conveyed effectively.
TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION
In the fond memory and honour of Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan,the academic philosopher and India’s Second President,
Teachers’ Day was celebrated in the Primary Block with great zeal and enthusiasm. The influence of a teacher in a child’s life
was depicted through a short story enactment. The kids expressed their gratitude and respect in the form of quotations, dance
performance and by offering greeting cards to their teachers It was indeed a memorable day for everyone.
GO GREEN
The students of Prep -C and Nursery- E conducted assemblies on 12th of September
2014 and 19th of September 2014 respectively on the theme “Go Green” where the
children commendably staged the importance and beauty of nature. Kids disguised as
wild animals depicted their grief as they were homeless and had nothing to eat. The
Beautiful performance of the children in the play and dances was overwhelming.
GANDHI JAYANTI
Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated in primary block with great zeal. Inspirational incidents from
Gandhiji’s life were narrated with an attempt to connect the younger generation to the ideals of the
Father of our Nation. Kids disguised as monkeys depicted the teachings - Bura mat bolo, bura mat
dekho, and bura mat suno. In the end his favourite bhajan “RaghupatiRaghav Raja Ram” was
sung as a tribute to beloved Bapu.
Report on Dussehra Celebration
Dussehra was celebrated with great fervor and zeal. Teachers in proper costumes from the
epic Ramayana justified the characters. Incidents of Ramayana like how lord Rama was exiled
to the forest, subsequent abduction of Goddess Sita which culminated in the killing of Ravana
by Shri Rama were depicted very energetically thus giving the message of victory of good over
evil. The programme was enjoyed and appreciated by one and all.
REPORT ON ‘LIVE AND OTHERS LIVE’
On 10th October 2014, an assembly was conducted on ‘Live and Let Live’ by the students of class Prep-G to create awareness amongst the children to save animals. The
assembly started with the prayer and then the children enacted a story which was inspired by the early life of Lord Buddha when he saved a swan’s life. Afterwards, a
song ‘Khud Jiye Sabko Jeena Sikhayen’ was sung by children. The assembly ended
with a dance performance in which children gave the message to save animals and
the importance of animals on the earth. The efforts, spirit and enthusiasm of children
was appreciated by everyone.
“REPORT ON CHARITY DRIVE”
With a motive to develop a sense of love ,care and affection for the under privileged a
charity drive was organised for the students of class III.
A group of 32 students along with two teachers went to the slum areas to distribute washing and bathing soaps. Headmistresses of the Junior and Senior Wing also became a part of this noble event
Assembly on “EID”
A special assembly was conducted by the little champs of class II H on 30.07.14.On the
occasion of Eid children presented a small skit depicting the story 'Idgaah' emphasizing the
deep love of Hamid for his grandmother.
Children enjoyed seeing the skit and appreciated their performance. The skit was
then followed by a thought and stunning dance performance. Students were motivated to
love and respect their parents and grandparents.
Visit to “SARAS DAIRY”
To have a change from the normal routine and to learn something extra, the students of
class III were taken on an educational visit to the Saras Dairy Plant in Jodhpur. The visit
was organized from 9 th – 14 th October and each day 2 sections were taken.
On reaching there, they met the employees of the dairy who were to be their “ tour
guides”. They explained the working of the dairy as a co-operative and also took the
students inside to see the functioning of the machines.
They were showed us the various stages through which milk passes before being
packed and explained about the pasteurization machine (aptly called the heart of the
plant), the cooling chambers and finally the packaging section. The students were awed
by the working of the big machines. The making of butter from cream, paneer and
srikhand were also shown. The children also watched Ghee, being packed in cartons.
Throughout the tour, the students listened attentively to the processes being explained
by the “guide” and made notes in the small diaries they carried. After completing the tour, the students were served refreshment along with ice cream manufactured in the dairy.It was a great learning experience for all the students and they came back
excited about what they had learnt and eager to share it with their friends.
“TEACHER’S DAY”
Every year 5th September is celebrated as Teachers Day.To remember and express our
gratitude to Dr. S Radhakrishnan ,students of class III B presented the assembly on teachers
day.The programme began with a poem on teachers saying "vah mera shikshak
kehlata" followed by a speech on Dr. S Radhakrishnan. Thereafter the students gyrated to the
tunes of "I love my teacher". As a token of love and respect for teachers ,students presented
handmade cards to their beloved teachers.
Assembly on “WATER”
The kids of class - 1 C performed an assembly on the topic ‘Water’ on 18 of September. It
was followed by a Shaanti Path which gives the message of peace to us. They showed a
short skit giving the message to save water [Paani hein anmol bhayya, iski keemat jaano-4 times] Then a thought, an article on water [importance, sources & uses] showing the
different pictures & telling them to save water & use water properly. The assembly
concluded with a poem in Hindi sung together by all the students. At the end the Headmistress gave blessings by appreciating.
“HINDI DIWAS”
Class 3 students celebrated HINDI DIWAS in the assembly conducted by class llI-C
on 16-09-2014.Children enjoyed when they heard the same sentence in different
languages like Kannada, Tamil, Sindhi, Gujarati etc..Assembly started with prayer,
news and thought. After that the children spoke on the importance and greatness of
Hindi language.A quiz was also conducted on Hindi language. Children recited a
poem ' HINDI HAMARI SHAAN HAI'. In the end the Headmistress blessed the
children with her words.
A Special Assembly on “GANDHI JAYANTI”
An assembly conducted by the students of Class I-E based on Gandhi Jayanti.
Assembly started with the Hindi and English Prayers .The thought of the day was
presented by the students in Hindi and English.A beautiful poem was presented by the
students based on the Gandhi (Kehte Gandhi ji k teen bander, Kehte Gandhi ji k teen
bander).Two articles were presented by students on Gandhiji in Hindi and English. Then
small kids performed a dance on song bande me tha dam vandemataram..

Assembly on “INDIAN AIR FORCE DAY”
Class III-F had an assembly on 8 October 2014.The theme for the
assembly was INDIAN AIR FORCE DAY. The assembly started with a prayer
followed by a thought and news after which students presented a short play
which had a message for children to join Indian Air Force. Student shared
some information on how the Air Force guards our country and also helps
during peace time. In the end the Headmistress appreciated the efforts of the
children to conduct such a lovely assembly.
An article was presented by Manya and Rishit highlighting the
significance of the day.The students also shared some information about some
famous Indian monuments like the Taj Mahal, Red Fort, the Golden Temple,
the Konark Sun Temple etc. Beautiful blow-ups of these monuments were
shown in the assembly. The children recited a poem --Sair Sapatta. The assembly culminated with the guiding words of the
headmistress who urged and motivated the children to visit these monuments and to gain more information about them.
DIWALI CELEBRATION
The students of class III G conducted an assembly
on Eco Friendly Diwali Celebration on 15 October 2014. The
assembly commenced with the morning prayer followed by news
and thought for the day. On the occasion of Diwali, students
presented a poem- Deep Se Deep Jalao, a play- How to Celebrate
an Eco Friendly Diwali and dance on the song Happy Diwali.
MessageCelebrate an Eco Friendly Diwali by not bursting crackers. Also, to
instill the values of philanthropy among children and to celebrate
Diwali in a safe and healthy way for all of us.
